The Easter Bunny

For years I made 5 Easter baskets and sat empty handed
as the five men looked through and enjoyed their treats.
Then I started making 6 when Taylor got married.  The look
on The Mister's face last year was of complete
dumbfoundedness when I pointed out that the Easter Bunny
brought a basket to everyone every year...except me!
Well, today the Easter Bunny brought me a basket....filled
with my favorite candies and an egg with 14 KT and sterling.
Hmmm....maybe he feels he has quite a few years to
make up for! hahahahaha.........
The wine was a gift to myself. :)

  1. Sob. I never get a treat at Easter! I did this year though, one of the local feral cats pee'd on the front door this morning and the stink. . . . unbelievable!

    2. Well, most times, the best gifts are ones you get yourself! :)

Was that kitty trying to impress Dinky?

    3. Yes. There have been three of them trying to get into the house. Dinky doesn't want to know. Sensible girl!

    1. I can't believe he remembered from last year! haha. The same thing happened with Christmas stockings....mine was empty for years and years. He finally got the not so subtle hint that he was responsible for it. haha.

  4. I think us mom's are just always the ones who do for others, without question. At least the penny dropped 😁
    Happy Easter details Betsy.

  8. Hi Betsy - well perhaps it was worth waiting for ... looks positive delicious - the wine! I think I'd make myself a basket of my favourite things ... then I'd get what I wanted - not a surprise, but lots of delightful little goodies ... cheers and have a happy week - Hilary

  10. I read a story about Judi Dench and Georfrey Palmer from the Brit com, As Time Goes By. Judy and Geoffrey play a married couple on the show and one day Geoffrey was telling the cast how his wife did stockings for everyone at Christmas. Judi asked him who did a stocking for his wife and he said "no one". Judi marched him right out and took him shopping for his wife's stocking. Poor Geoffrey, henpecked by his tv wife. But I thought it was a sweet story. So glad you finally got a basket Betsy. I have experienced the same thing and I always wondered if people thought the Easter Bunny had come to see everyone but the mean mama.lol

    1. That is a very cute story! Love it. The first 5-6 years I mentioned the stocking, he just stuffed one of the gifts he got me into it. It didn't fit and I thought it was a poor excuse for doing the stocking. I thought he forgot until he saw the stockings full on Christmas Eve and that was his way of redeeming himself. But he said he actually bought that particular gift for my stocking! haha. Then I had to explain the fine art of stocking stuffers. hahaha....oh, the instruction has been difficult. So funny.....one year I stuffed it myself and loved everything I got! :)
