Vintage Wooden Eggs

OK, so I caved and put out one little sign of
spring in my kitchen. The eggs are an auction find
and they fit perfectly in this little nest!  So sweet.
I may or may not have added a big bunch of silk
daisies to the old mail box hanging on my front door. :)
I also brought Mr. Penguin inside and put him away....
just in time for the snow coming this weekend! ha.

    1. Yes! The southern states are in full spring mode, though. We don't usually have any signs of life just yet but our daffodils are early and there are leaf buds on the trees....all about 1 month early.
      Are you better?

    2. Well, yes thank you. But I just had 2 days in the local stroke unit. Very lucky only to have minimal damage to my left arm which is getting better all the time. Hoping to get away on my much delayed holiday on Sunday or Monday.

    4. Fun doesn't come close! Ever had a CT scan at midnight?
      Luckily I am home now.

    5. No, I've never had one at all. Did have my oldest in for one a few years ago and it was late at night. He bonked his head on the gym floor during a basketball game. Yes, no place like home to recover....well, I think Switzerland would be a good choice, too! :)

  2. I don't know which I'm swooning over the most...the vintage wooden eggs or that adorable nest! :)

Good for you for bringing in Mr. Penguin, but I'm feeling pretty certain he'll feel deprived when he hears about the snow this weekend. :) Our snow is starting tonight and tomorrow. :) I'm glad I went out with the camera this afternoon to take daffodil, crocus and Sedum pictures. I'm loving all the signs of spring that are popping up everywhere...even if they are temporarily buried under the snow.

    1. I really should bring in a bouquet of daffodils, but I usually don't. We almost always looks them to ice and snow!

  11. I KNOW! Once we embrace spring, Old Man Winter makes one (at least) more visit! We are due to drop back into the 30s at night this weekend. Have to cover some of my plants! But, yea, for your daisies and spring beauties! blessings ~ tanna
