OK, so I caved and put out one little sign of
spring in my kitchen. The eggs are an auction find
and they fit perfectly in this little nest! So sweet.
I may or may not have added a big bunch of silk
daisies to the old mail box hanging on my front door. :)
I also brought Mr. Penguin inside and put him away....
just in time for the snow coming this weekend! ha.
♥
Very pretty. Are you really getting more snow? It is truly spring here.
ReplyDeleteYes! The southern states are in full spring mode, though. We don't usually have any signs of life just yet but our daffodils are early and there are leaf buds on the trees....all about 1 month early.
DeleteAre you better?
Well, yes thank you. But I just had 2 days in the local stroke unit. Very lucky only to have minimal damage to my left arm which is getting better all the time. Hoping to get away on my much delayed holiday on Sunday or Monday.
DeleteOh my goodness! That does not sound fun at all! Glad you're doing better...take care of yourself!
DeleteFun doesn't come close! Ever had a CT scan at midnight?
DeleteLuckily I am home now.
No, I've never had one at all. Did have my oldest in for one a few years ago and it was late at night. He bonked his head on the gym floor during a basketball game. Yes, no place like home to recover....well, I think Switzerland would be a good choice, too! :)
DeleteWe hope to set off tomorrow
DeleteI don't know which I'm swooning over the most...the vintage wooden eggs or that adorable nest! :)
ReplyDeleteGood for you for bringing in Mr. Penguin, but I'm feeling pretty certain he'll feel deprived when he hears about the snow this weekend. :) Our snow is starting tonight and tomorrow. :) I'm glad I went out with the camera this afternoon to take daffodil, crocus and Sedum pictures. I'm loving all the signs of spring that are popping up everywhere...even if they are temporarily buried under the snow.
I really should bring in a bouquet of daffodils, but I usually don't. We almost always looks them to ice and snow!
DeleteEven you forsaking the snow
ReplyDeleteMaybe the Easter Bunny will leave you golden eggs for doing so? lol
I suppose you'd want me to share
Deletenow that you are aware. haha.
How very tweet . . . :)
ReplyDeleteLooks great Betsy . . .
Thank you. :)
DeleteThose are some sweet, little eggs. I am not looking forward to the snow this weekend!
ReplyDeleteI just heard that it might miss us....but you never know!
DeleteAnother adorable display. Love bird nests, and your antique eggs just top it off perfectly.
ReplyDeleteNests are so sweet....love to find them in our yard!
DeleteAnd this, from a girl who loves Winter? Are you caving in? Huh?
ReplyDeleteHahaha... Now, I am craving Pears!
Cheers!
Linda :o)
I'm caving! haha. Puttered outside today...55 degrees. Needed a sweater and shoes but it was very nice.
DeleteI ate one of those pears this afternoon....delish!
Love when they are soft and juicy!
DeleteGonna get me some...they must be "blushing"...
Then they are extra good!
Yes, I agree! Blushing is best! haha.
DeleteI need to get rid of winter in my house too. You've inspired me! I love the eggs!
ReplyDeleteI don't know....we're now getting snow tonight! haha....
DeleteThat little nest and eggs are adorable. I also love all the little birds you have situated in various areas. They are a fun surprise. I am really missing all my things that are in storage.
ReplyDeleteWhen you get to bring all your favorite things back home, it will be like Christmas!
DeleteYes - you're right!
DeleteSnow again???
ReplyDeleteHere spring is coming and we're all so happy.
I need it for my soul!
Have a great weekend.
Love
It's blustery and wind chilling today! Brrr! We only got a dusting of snow but it is very cold!
DeleteI KNOW! Once we embrace spring, Old Man Winter makes one (at least) more visit! We are due to drop back into the 30s at night this weekend. Have to cover some of my plants! But, yea, for your daisies and spring beauties! blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteWe are freeeeezing today! The wind is biting cold! brr. The daffodils are bowing their heads, sorry they came out to early!
DeleteWhere'd you find the nest?
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't remember....I've had it for years!
