A Visitor

This boy has been seen a few times in our yard this week.
He's obviously homeless....not neutered, thin, scraggly, etc.
He could pass for Slate and Smoke's brother, couldn't he?
Funny thing, we saw Slate outside doing this funny
playful dance at him, like he was so excited to see him
and was trying to be friendly and charming.  Hilarious!
I'm not really looking to take in another kitty but I'd
certainly not hesitate to trap him and get him neutered.
Everyone seems friendly to him and they have the instincts
to know.  There have been male feral cats come into the
yard and ours just freak out.  They are not welcome at all!
I just assume they know who is friendly and who is trouble.
They befriended Slate this same way!  So, I don't make the
adoption choices...they do!  I'm going to refrain from
feeding him just yet....or naming him. haha.
The Mister seems more excited than me, believe it or
not.  He's been out there calling to him and being friendly.
I've just been watching from the window. Kind of amusing. :)

    1. Oh that mister! Back when I first took the first litter in and cared for them, I asked which ones we should give away and he said "None!" haha....

    1. You just never know. I've fallen in love with some and got them spayed/neutered and thought they would stay only to have them disappear. Guarding my heart this time....

    2. When you get them 'fixed' there is a benefit to your whole community. People and cats. Whether they stay or move on. I sure understand the guarding your heart.

    1. I love the gray ones, too...and he's that perfect shade like the other two!
Yes, he is a male for sure and not neutered. He's big and muscular but thin and
scrawny at the same time. I love his face....he has that sweet look about him.

    2. He does indeed have that sweet look. Reminds me of when Slate first came. And my, how Slate morphed! Hope this fella stays.

    1. He could certainly share a father! I'm sure all the ferals around here are related in some way.

  10. They sure make the choice in the end
    As some can clearly offend
Others they know will make a great part
So they take them to heart
    Looks like another may stay
As around they all play haha

    1. Will be fun to see
if he takes the plunge at our sea
      and adopts us all,
succumbing to the rules I call.
