White Geranium

Look!  She's blooming!

I brought this little geranium in for the winter
in hopes that I could keep her alive until spring.
She's actually doing better inside than out!
I think she was in a spot that was too shady.
She didn't even bloom over the summer!
Finally, she's happy!

    1. Well, aren't you sweet...thank you!
I'm so glad it's growing. I wondered what was wrong with it when
it was in the ground! haha.

  3. I brought two of my geraniums in to save them from the cold, hoping to take cuttings in the Spring. Now I find they are in full flower and are better off as an indoor plant. Mine are blood red ones, my favourite.

    1. Send it my way! It just started...but we're only supposed to get one inch.

    2. You definitely know I would if I could!! It's a wet, slushy snow and is sticking to the grass but not the roads. I've probably got an inch already.

    3. It's sticking to the trees! I wish it was during the day so I could watch it fall! :)

  5. I've brought geraniums into the garage for the winter and been surprised when they survived and bloomed in the spring, but never tried to let them grow in the house. I'll have to do that next winter.

Hope you all feel better soon!

    1. Very interesting. So, did you water them out there?

  6. She's a beauty! Great capture of her, too. It's so rewarding when your plants do well. I left my geraniums on the porch at the beach. They're still alive. With all this warm weather, maybe I'll get blooms, too.

  9. Isn't she pretty? Belle of the ball. If I look at her upside down, it is the most gorgeous skirt... crinoline and all!

    1. That is so true! When I was a little girl, we used to turn flowers upside down like that and pretend they were ladies with fancy ball gowns on! :) (oh the simple days of old when we were entertained by little things that didn't have apps or run on batteries. ha)

    2. I did that, too! Yes, I sometimes long for those simpler days. Does that mean I'm old? Laughing!

We all need to find our nurturing spot... Do we not? :-)

And we thrive, when we have found it.

  13. Beautiful!! And yes geranium love sun. It's funny, this is the first year I have decided to get geraniums. I have already been to the garden center but they were only preparing it for the season. So at least I googled all about them. They remind me about South of France ...

  14. Forgive me for going off-topic, but you should be here right now. Snowing like crazy, with an expected 10 inches or so by the time it stops!

    1. Yes, I should be! :)

Lucky you! We got less than an inch. Barely a tease and not nearly enough to satisfy me. Massachusetts is all over the news with the snowfall. Looks wonderful!

    2. Actually, I had to shovel that ****. It kinda sucked.

  15. Geraniums are one of my favorite flowers, Betsy. I do fine with them as long as I leave them outside, but when I bring them in...well, let's just say that they never bloom pretty like your white one. They just die. :( It gives me something to look forward to in the summer. :)

    1. They're one of my favorites, too....mainly because they can take our hot summers and full sun. And I've learned that they don't like the shade! haha.

You would love it here, with our snow storm! :-) We are not too far East, so we just have lots of snow. Farther East, on the Atlantic Coast, they have a real Nor'easter! Not so nice.

Happily, we can just enjoy the feeling of being cozy, in a big snow storm. And I know, you appreciate that feeling. :-)

  17. Wondering.... you said you were not getting updates, when I blog. Is it still thus?

The way I "follow" blogs is.... I have a separate private blog, where I have installed a Blogger Gadget, to show new posts, on the blogs I watch. And it always works.

Not sure how you are "following" blogs....

Best wishes, with seeing updates though.
