- Grilled salmon and Waldorf slaw.
- Chicken Minestrone.
- Spinach salad topped with shaved Parm, a tarragon chicken breast and warm bacon dressing.
- Air-fried chicken.
- Ham bone bean soup and skillet cornbread.
- Chicken and mushrooms in a garlicky mascapone sauce on rice.
- Bananas Foster French Toast. I just kind of made this up, sauteing bananas in butter, brown sugar and a splash of rum.
What's been on your dinner plate lately?
Also, thanks for all your get well wishes for Tiger.
He's shown some positive signs, like drinking on his own
from his water bowl, purring and looking a little more alert.
And most of all, scolding me when I force feed him broth or
cat milk with a syringe. haha. But he still won't eat anything
on his own. I'm not sure what his fate will be at this point.
I'm just going to try to give it my best shot and see where
we stand in a couple of days. I'll admit to feeling this
overwhelming rise of anxiety in what might lie ahead for
the whole clan here. But I need to put my energies
toward this one for the next day or so before dealing
with all of that.
♥
I had just a venison burger with a side saddle, sorry, side salad. Nothing exotic. Yours looks delicious! Can I come to dinner one day?
ReplyDeleteWell, of course...you know you are always welcome! :)
DeleteAt £483 ($598.12)for the round trip to Columbus it would be an expensive dinner, but no doubt it would be worth it!
DeleteThat actually sounds very reasonable! And for all that effort, you should at least stay for breakfast, too! :)
DeleteFish and Chips . . . lol
ReplyDeleteGosh that all looks fabulous and beautifully presented.
I think I'd like Grilled Salmon and Waldorf slaw . . :)
Yum. I'd love to taste true British fish and chips!
Deletegrilled salmon is a favorite here...as you've probably deducted since I'm always
making it! haha.
Come on over and I'll treat us . . . lol
DeleteCareful....I might take you up on that! :)
DeleteI say again - you meals look like a restaurant menu! I'm intrigued by air fried chicken.
ReplyDeleteGlad Tiger looks a little better. Praying he starts to eat more in the next day!
The air fryer is new and very nice. It's a Big Boss brand and I got it at a good price on ebay. That photo is from frying a whole chicken. Turned out amazing! I highly recommend!
DeleteThanks for the info. Much healthier!
DeleteI did homemade breaded chicken fingers and fries in it, too. All very good!
DeleteHad dinner at lunch time today. It was a really tasty chicken strip salad. Yours do look like restaurant perfect dishes. Now I am definitely hungry.
ReplyDeleteHoping for the best for your Tiger.
That salad sounds wonderful! That's one of my favorites...chicken on a salad! :) Thanks for thinking of Tiger....
DeleteOh my. Each one of these meals I could cheerfully tuck into. Yum. Salmon always appeals to me, but I have been wondering about air fryers. Looks so good. But I only have a tiny countertop and not many cupboards so not much room for extra appliances.
ReplyDeleteFingers and paws crossed for dear Tiger!
Yes, space is a downfall, isn't it? This thing is big, that's for sure. I'm fortunate enough to have a second pantry for such monsters. haha. Tiger's my main concern today....laundry and kitty care are the only things on the docket. :)
DeleteHi Betsy - glad Tiger is improving slightly - long may it go on and then all the best. Those meals always look so good ... and everytime I see Cornbread I get a jealous desire for some! The Banana toasts look just the thing for finishing off a supper - warm and cosy for winter ... take care - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteI hadn't made cornbread in ages....so it tasted extra good. We don't really eat a lot of bread and pasta here, to it was a real treat!
DeleteIf you mix and match
ReplyDeleteHave what I eat in the batch
Glad he is doing better by a bit
Hopefully he'll improve and the food dish he'll hit
Pick and choose
Deleteaccording to your muse. :)
Oh mercy, but those meals look gooooood!!!!!!! Deeeelicious!
ReplyDeleteThank you for wonderful ideas!
Happily my husband likes to cook, and since I don't, it is wonderful. He doesn't mind using more then 3 ingredients. I faint at a recipe, with more than 2 or 3. LOL
You are being wise, the way you choose to handle Tiger's illness. Do what you can, and don't worry, ahead of time.
Many gentle hugs,
Luna Crone
You are SO lucky to have a husband that can cook! Mine does a frozen pizza on Sunday nights....sometimes it turns out, sometimes it doesn't. haha. :)
DeleteYummo....every single thing!!!! Hi Betsy xo
ReplyDeleteHi, Lynn! :)
DeleteIm happy Tiger is better ♡♡♡♡
ReplyDeleteA tiny bit....still not out of the woods....
DeleteYes..
DeleteMmmm mmmm mmmm, hambone bean soup and cornbread....yummo! Glad to hear of Tiger's slight improvement.
ReplyDeleteYep...that dish was especially yummy! And there was enough for another meal which, of course,
Deletewas a win-win for the cook! :)
So happy to hear Tiger is doing a bit better! And all my fingers crossed for a good outcome not onoy for him but for all the crew!!! ❤ vig hugs!
ReplyDeleteThe day started out pretty good but he's not so good this afternoon. Sigh.

Linda :o)
If you love to eat, it's nice to be able to cook, isn't it? haha. Yum.
DeleteAir-fried chicken? How do you cook that, leave it out on the counter until someone decides it's ready to eat? Ha.
ReplyDeleteThose dinners look awesome! Are you a chef?
ReplyDeleteOh no...I just like to cook. :) Thanks, Furry!
DeleteMade me hungry at this early hour, Betsy! ;) You are a wonderful cook! Your guys are so lucky! blessings ~ tanna
