That's so beautiful, Betsy. I really can't imagine live where it snows. It don't look like I will in my life time, so I will just enjoy yours from a distance.
I have a jade bird very similar to yours on the shelf.
If you click on my Instagram on the sidebar you can see my video today. I've lived in the midwest my whole life...I can't imagine living where the winter isn't cold. But then, you have blooms all year...and palm trees! Amazing. :)
Yes they were! Have you ever been to Colorado or Vermont in the Winter? I used to snow ski (long ago, in my 20's ha ha) and there's nothing like seeing snow in all its majesty when you're on top of a mountain out on a ski slope! It's a breathtaking view!
I just love your kitchen window and the gorgeous things displayed there. You have such a good eye. Me...It always looks like I just plopped things down. This weekend we are suppose to have torrential rains and the High Sierras will have up to 10 feet of new snow. Since it's a Pineapple Express rain the Weather guys say that it's too warm for snow to stay, hence flooding will be the results down here in the "flatlands". I guess it is time to batten down the hatches and stay warm and cozy.
We are waiting on snow here in north Alabama. School is cancelled just in case. Seems that the Weather Service is saying our chance of snow is 16%...so looks doubtful.
Oh, that is not a fern! It's a Baby Tears. I have two ferns...trying the maiden hair ones this time...they are very finicky. I'm keeping them alive...barely. haha.
I'm waiting for our share. Send a few snowflakes our way

Ten feet? Wow. I've never heard of the Pineapple Express! Hope it isn't as bad as they are forecasting!

Stay warm!
Are you in the south? Just a dusting can be really beautiful!

ReplyDeleteWish we had snow but we just have freezing cold.
