I was shopping for stocking stuffers today and saw
these little bags of bubble gum. I haven't seen these
since I was a kid! I wouldn't have thought they still made
them but sure enough, there they were!
I had to buy a bag for myself just for fun!
They look the same...taste the same....
kind of like banana. haha.
It was one of those weird blast for the past moments!
♥
Never heard of them. Gum isn't as popular here as it was a few years back, young people seem to prefer cannabis now!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite bubble gum came in big sticks shaped and wrapped like cigars. :)
DeleteI haven't seen them for years, either. Thanks for the visual trip back through memory lane.
ReplyDeleteSo fun. I didn't even see them when my kids were young!
DeleteNever seen that variety of bubble gum. But used to use it quite a lot. Loved blowing bubbles but hated it when the bubble burst and it landed all over face . . . took a bit of cleaning off sometimes . . . lol
ReplyDeleteDo you blow bubbles?
Love to see that . . . lol
Of course I blew bubbles! That's the best part! :)
Delete. . . and singing this: hahaha!

Now that bag would be a fun addition to my patchwork!
ReplyDeleteYes, it would! :)
DeleteWow...I remember this gum! It was so good and you could keep little treasures in the bag when the gum was gone. Loved bubble gum cigars too.
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if it was an Indiana thing. The Mister had never heard of them. Maybe they've finally migrated east. :)
DeleteNever had those... but they look like a fun treat. Love the bag!
ReplyDeletePretty cute, huh! :)
DeleteOh, I love your header. I don't see it when I'm using my phone unless I press mobile version. As I'm not home yet, my phone is all I have with me. Such a pretty image.
DeleteWow, does that take me back!
ReplyDeleteYou remember them? Well, that blows my Indiana theory. haha.
DeleteI remember that stuff!!
ReplyDeleteI have a huge wad of it in my mouth right now. haha. Feel like a kid....
DeleteI remember these!
ReplyDeleteYay...I see several of my blog friends remember them! So fun!
DeleteI remember these from my childhood, too. Never particularly liked the gum but it was fun that it came in a little bag like a bag of gold nuggets. What type of store did you find these?
ReplyDeleteYou, too? How fun.
DeleteI was in Big Lots. I kind of like the taste...but it might
just be the nostalgia. haha.
I remember those! I haven't seen the in forever. Fun!
ReplyDeleteSo many candies from decades ago aren't around any more. Do you remember candy cigarettes?
DeleteI loved those. haha. I guess those and the cigars are no more.
Hi Betsy - what fun ... but I hate bubblegum and chewing gum ... so lovely to see and am so glad it brought back memories ... I'll leave one and all to their bubbly and chewly gums! Cheers Hilary
ReplyDeletehaha...well, I guess you weren't missing it, then! :)
DeleteI remember these, or something like it- as soon as I saw the picture my memory sparked. I don't recall buying them for my kids- I used to get those rolls of lifesavers in a book...now they have cheapened that to a small package of gummy bears, but when my kids were young there were 8-10 rolls of lifesvers in a book. Also, my daughter found a dough bowl for me at a local vintage store. It's not original, but at least I have one I can start decorating with!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you found a dough bowl! I've been looking but haven't seen one yet. I'll still let you know in case you can't live without the true antique! :)
DeleteA blast from the past you say.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think they had such things in ancient times at one's bay lol
Panning for gold way back when?
DeleteMaybe that was only down here, then.
The gum is a nod to the run to the west
when everyone went to find the fortune that's best.
Cute! I've never seen these before but I chew bubble gum all day long. Btw ... it's snowing like crazy here. I've already cleaned my driveway once! Are you getting it too? I wish I could send you mine if you're not! ha ha
ReplyDeleteMarla
My jaw locks up if I chew too much...which I've rediscovered today and yesterday. haha.
