Slice of Life Saturday #3

It was a gorgeous fall day here in Ohio!
A warm breeze blowing through the windows,
the sound of football on the TV, and the faint sound
of steam engine DVD's coming from the boys' room.
I slept late, did a little DIY, a little work
in my studio, and a little cooking!

Hope you've had a nice Saturday!

  4. I have missed seeing Garden Girl. Love seeing the blue and silver at her feet.
Dinner looks yummy and I like the bowl the apples are in.
My Saturday was picking up some end tables that I bought, moving a few things around at home to try and figure out where my furniture is going once it returns, some banking and writing, and I just returned from the opera! It was a full day!

    1. You're going to have fun rearranging and getting settled back in!
I haven't been on an opera in years! My niece sang in the last one....so fun!

  5. That sounds like a perfect restful Saturday indeed. Love the picture with, is it Alex?, and the double lollipops :-) We had a company and we were carving pumpkins and it was a lovely Saturday as well :-) Now I am off to the woods to pick some Autumn goodies for decoration. Happy Sunday Betsy!

    1. Why eat a single sucker
when 2 or 3 couple make you pucker?
I wonder how many he could fit
if the roof of his mouth he hit.
      haha.

  8. I just love your photos featuring a weekend at home. We had a good day yesterday as the TIDE kept rolling!! We are Alabama fans and hoping for another national championship. I also spent some quality time stitching after we spent the morning looking for furniture for our little house. I found two Jenny Lind twin beds for a bargain so I am a happy camper.

  9. Sounds like a lovely day! I didn't want to leave the house yesterday myself , so I roasted some vegetables to have served over couscous today. I love having meals prepared ahead of time. I really should have done some baking too. Enjoy your day!

  10. Lovely photos. Is that another tease for the Guest Bedroom? A DIY project with Glass Insulators...It looks like it might be a hanging rack?

  11. My weekend? Lots of laundry, a little ironing, wrapping up presents to post to the USA and Canada, writing up crispy snacks (the Carrefour Jambon & Fromage were just superb and I ate far too many) a little light dusting, bought a few jugs from the Emma Bridgewater website (have you seen her new miniature xmas decoration range?), facetimed my best friend who is in N Carolina for the day for a wedding, watched Guardians of the Galaxy again and not for the last time - it has such a great soundtrack, made burgers and garlic bread for dinner tonight, and I'm about to order some picture frames from those lovely people at eframe.co.uk.
Much busier than a work day when I just sit at my desk!

    1. Wow...you had a very fun weekend! I love Emma Bridgewater! I don't own a single piece of it, though!
I'll have to look up the miniature line you're talking about. I'm sure it's very cool!
