It's a wonderful time of year! Our leaves haven't peaked yet...they've just started! I'm glad it's going slow and not all over with early. Some years are like that...color, rain and wind and it's gone! ha.
Oh, my! It's been chilly at night here, but no frost yet. As a matter of fact, the forecast for the next ten days has it comfortably above that temperature.
It didn't cover the entire ground but it was there! 39 degrees when I woke up. I bet your warm weather comes to us, too.....I'd like to have my windows open a few more weeks!
I guess the flip flops are tucked away in the closet! It's a beautiful shot..crisp and cool, and that colored leaf. Worth the trip out in your slippers...haha
I quickly snuck out this morning for a sunrise photo. Yes please let's hang on to autumn a little longer. The weather has been really nice the last few days but we know what's coming!!
I know I shouldn't, but I always welcome the sight of the first frost with its promise of icy clear mornings and warm fires. Eventually the reality - wet sleet and excessive heating bills - catches up on me.
Hi Betsy - bet it was a quick sneak outside ... that looks cold ... ours hasn't come yet ... actually up north it has ... but I'm happy being here! Cheers Hilary
Ooh dear, a little too soon but seasons are changing fast, and it's my favorite time of the year :)
ReplyDeleteHope your visit with the kids was fun !
