Just two...this mama and her little one. They actually live in the neighbors tall maple tree but it's branches connect with the branches of our crab apple and they can cross over and eat without leaving the trees! haha.
I just ignored Dinky's silly tantrums. If she spat at him, I just put her out and let Henry sleep in her box. She soon came round. Henry was old and ill, and I knew it wouldn't be long, poor cat.
Love the light! She looks a little indignant, if you ask me. HaHa! Just kidding, Mrs. Squirrel.
We have a new critter digging in the yard. My neighbor thinks it's an Armadilla. Eeek! She said he's digging for grubs. I also heard they'll eat snakes. I like that part.
Nice header . . . :) . . . and as for Mrs Squirrel . . she has got you well trained . . haha I thought that type of feeder is squirrel proof. Doesn't it whizz round when she reaches the platform of does she belong to a circus? . . lol
It doesn't spin, but it only allows a few seeds out at one time, so squirrels and raccoons can't dump the entire thing on the ground. It works pretty well! And she's pretty nice about sharing with the birds....it is really their's after all. :)
That golden light is gorgeous. Mrs Squirrel looks quite annoyed at your failure to realise she wants food NOW! Haha, they know where to come, anyway. Your garden must be idyllic for them.
A beautiful picture of the last rays of the sun Betsy. I am enjoying the early morning sun today as we have NO humidity and a hint of fall is in the air.
Nice picture. Just how many squirrels are there in your yard?

DeleteGood thing, considering the number of cat predators on the ground. Incidently, Henry died this week, I'll miss him. . .
DeleteAw, poor Henry! What happened to him? Last you told me Dinky wouldn't let him come around
Deleteany longer so I thought you didn't see him any more.

DeleteWell, at least she was friendly in the end. :)

ReplyDeleteIt's a great time to take pictures.....all about the light!
DeleteMy favourite time of day. The world softens and glows.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Squirrel is very fortunate, indeed.
She's a lucky lady, isn't she? As long as she stays in the tree. haha.
DeleteYup... tree safety is essential!
DeleteYour new header is lovely.
Those insulators are in my laundry room....love their glow!
DeleteHi Betsy - I'd be mesmerized by those golden gleams if I could take photos like yours ... what a great shot - so glad she's been fed. Cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteWell, the golden gleams certainly help the photo taking! haha.
