Star

Whenever I see her, I say, "Starry!"
And then I can't help but start singing,

"Starry, starry night
Paint your palette blue and gray
Look out on a summer's day
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul..."

Vincent
Don McLean

  5. what a sweet kitty. I tried to drag dh into the Petsmart to look at kitties today but he isn't ready yet. If not before he will be ready by his birthday (january) ; ) I'm not sure I ever noticed those cool retro counter stools. Neato.

  6. I thought about you last night as an abandoned kitty cat looked for a safe place to give borth. Being allergic to cats and not a huge fan, I never thought I'd feel that level of guilt! I did a good deed and temporarily sheltered the kitty until a good home is found. You rubbed off on me, betsy!

  8. She's a dear one. And that song is one of my favourites. Very melancholy.

    1. That melancholiness is what I like about it. So appropriate to my mood at times....Sadly beautiful, beautifully sad. :)

    1. So much better...but still not quite right. Not sure if she will ever recover, but she's happy and chatty so that's good.

  15. I keep trying to comment on your posts in my lunch hour but my work computer won't let me which is a real blight.
I quite understand your need to sing about Star. She looks as though she deserves it, sitting there all elegant. Having said that I prefer American Pie as a song.

  16. Oh how spectacular she has become miss Star..not to mention my favorite Don McClean song Vincent..She has blossomed and thrived with your constant love and care, oh, my doodness sakes..This is Mary from out west I still have pain in my right shoulder and arm, it will be that way I guess forever, our black kitty cat Mr. Miyagi is miserable it has been in the 100 degrees and we have an olden house with no a/c but lots of fans he runs into a closet and never shows his self until late at night I had to put cold water and some treats to get him to come out, he did eventually..Keep up the loving and affection and grooming for miss star starry starry night she looks like a beauty queen! We went to the beach and my neighbor took in our Mr. Miyagi and Miss Ginger in her air conditioned home they both did not return until yesterday when we got home and promptly went into the closets for coolness..Take care and enjoy your boys, hubs and the weather!

    1. Hi Mary! Hope you had a lovely vacation away! So nice to have a neighbor to take your kitties in while you were gone. I hope there is a break in the heat for you!

Star is coming along, isn't she? I'm so glad she's part of our family. :)
