Welcome Summer!

Happy first day of summer!
And since it's official, I changed up my chalkboard
and foyer table.  And it was about time, too, since
the chalkboard still had an Easter theme on it. ha.

  1. The first day of Summer here is miserable. The "Picnic in the Park" yesterday to celebrate the coming of Summerwas a complete washout! Rain, rain, rain! Today was no better, although the sun came out just in time for sunset. Better late than never. How was your weather?

    1. Our weather was hot, humid and partly sunny. Rain is so typical for you all over there. The Picnic in the Park should have been Picnic Under the Pavilion. haha. We went to an outdoor concert years ago that started out beautiful and was washed out by rain. Ugh...what a miserable experience that was. haha.

    2. We didn't have a pavilion, but we sat in the beer tent most of the afternoon listening to the rain drumming on the canvas. The beer was nice and warm though. Ha!

    3. Well, at least you had a tent...and beer. haha.

    4. We had rain and then a steam bath afterwards.

  2. Your table decorations look wonderful. It was 110 here yesterday and it is 115 out today. Even for us it is unseasonably hot. I am over summer already! Thank goodness for AC. I hope Ohio is perfect.

  4. So the Easter bunny stuck around
    Until summer was truly found?
Hoarding all the eggs at your shore?
Summer is sure here with heat in store

VBS is over, I got a new hair cut, been sleeping in...and feel normal again. Ready for whatever comes next!!! Really hot here today~ AC on, and triple digits outside.

  8. Cute, cute! I love the bowl with the flag in it. I was kind of looking for a moon photo from you. I just put up my Easter decorations last Friday. I really only decorate the china hutch, but talk about procrastination. Ha! Happy Summer!

    1. We had a big old thunderstorm last night...no full moon for me! That happens quite often when I want to photograph a special moon! Sigh!

  10. Lovely and simple. Pretty coral on display.
I am staying at a friend's as I have been having some repair issues with my condo. She does not have A/C so I have been dying. But it is so kind of her to let me stay and she's a great cook. We've been having a good visit.
Seems to be cooling down a bit tonight. Fingers crossed!

    1. Those of us that live with AC can't imagine living without it, can we! Ugh! We're spoiled! But I do so appreciate it. Hope your repairs don't take too much longer!
