Stopping Mid Air

I tossed a piece of dental floss into the bathroom trash
can the other day and it froze mid air.  I wrinkled my
forehead, picked it up and tossed it again.  Same thing!

Had to take a photo just to document it.

....and see the reason behind the magic!

Ah, yes.  Looks like I need to do a bit of cleaning!

  2. Well, very interesting. I'm not sure it explains Bruce's problems with floss, but I think he will like your photos! We have a few spiders here too...

  3. Ha, that made me laugh. I have those thin, long-legged spiders here too. Their webs are very hard to see.

  4. I have a lot of spiders in the house at the moment. I think they've come in to shelter from the incessant rain. Suddenly I don't have a problem with flies now, I wonder whats happened to them.

    2. Keith, if you place a conker in each corner of the room you don't get any spiders ~ they hate them . . :)

    1. I place conkers in corners of the room and it deters them so maybe the dental floss might fall a bit further. When we do get them, sometimes our 'incy wincy spiders' are huge and I place a glass over them, slide a piece of cardboard between the glass end and the wall, shake it down, fo to a window and shake the spider out and hope it is useless at mountaineering so it can't come back . . lol

    2. Horse Chestnuts ~ it is thought they do not like the smell but it could be an old wive's tail . . :)

  12. That's too funny! It reminds me of the day I thought I saw a man's face in one of my t-shirts that was hanging from a hook in my bathroom. It freaked me out! I took a picture of it, but for the life of me I can't find it.

    1. I thought I was the only one that did that. When I was pregnant with the triplets and on bed rest, I swear there was a flower on my comforter that looked like an Indian Chief.,....feather head dress and all. My sister swore I had lost my mind. haha....

  15. Spooky! We have spiders just like that. I can't keep up with them. I swear they start rewebbing the house as soon as I walk away with my duster. One day I will come home to find the Chef in a corner all tied to the wall with cobwebs.

  17. I am embarassed to say I knew what had happened. Lots of daddy long legs around here. I opened the shed door last week to the biggest black widow I had ever seen. About the size of a 50c piece. Pretty scary but I was glad I saw it there in the air before I walked into the web. You are magic!
