New Neighbors

While I was working outside yesterday, I thought I saw
Marmalade out of the corner of my eye.  But when I looked,
it obviously wasn't!  Same color, but not quite the same!

There were two baby foxes scampering about and playing just inside
fence!  When I came back with my camera, they were on the outside
peeking at me.  Not scared at all, though!
And the cats out there with me just nonchalantly looked over at
them as if to say, "Yeah, those are the Fox brothers...."

Cute little things, aren't they?
We've seen a red fox living under the deck of the house
behind us for years now.  I guess it's still there and
has started a family!  This isn't Mr. Neighbor Man, who
lives next door.  Different neighbors. haha.
After I took these photos, those babies
crawled under the shed out of harms way.

  1. How sweet. I'm glad the cats aren't bothered by them.
All we get are lizards, an occasional snake and a skunk or two.

    1. haha...we don't have lizards! But it's just as well, the cats would be preying on them
like they do the mice! We haven't seen a skunk in quite awhile....not complaining about that!

  3. Hello Betsy. Wow, those are so cute! Amazing that they were not scared at all. Little sweet faces are adorable. We have all kinds of critters here, but I never manage to get a good photo. Betsy, I would love if you shared this with our readers at our link party, Dishing It & Digging it every Sunday. The party is live for 4-5 days.

  4. Ahhhh, how sweet! I wonder if they will bother the cats? But I guess if the cats aren't alarmed by them, then everything should be ok.

    1. I wondered that....and if their parents are ever hungry for cat. Eeek. Makes me wonder if our cats that have disappeared have been victims. Really hard to tell. But our cats had definitely had friendly contact with these little ones....seems like the parents would have been watching from somewhere. Who knows! The Mister joked that he wondered if they had been through the cat flap yet and had dined on cat food in the kitchen! LOL! Oh my!

    2. LOL! I guess that would be better than raccoons coming through the cat flap. Have you seen that commercial?

  9. There are red foxes in our area too. We live near a ridge that they call home. I saw one trotting down the street in a mountain neighborhood not far away from us. He looked like he was just walking to visit a friend No fear at all apparently.

    1. Oh, that is something! A couple of years ago I was watering the garden and one trotted through our back yard just several feet from me. He didn't even flinch..haha...so funny!

  10. Aww cuties they are! Maybe they are checking your house thinking it would be a cool place to live in ... free food and lots of love :-)
I get to see foxes sometimes in the woods but most of them, sadly, I see dead on the road in the mornings ... :-(

At first I thought Mr Neighbour Man had left the area . . . lol
Great that you have the baby foxes, maybe you could tame them and add them to your entourage. . . . haha

    Happy day at the auction . . . :)

    1. No silver ones. haha. Just two cute red ones. They looked and acted like puppies!
Mr. Neighbor Man is still there...he's unfortunate enough to have the skunk. haha.

  13. I think foxes are so beautiful, but since we are seeing one running through the property every few days, it has me worried about the cats...
Do you know that red foxes cannot climb trees, but grey foxes can, that's one consolation the fox we are seeing, is red.
    Beautiful babies even so ^:^

    Cute they are to view
Funny how the cats don't care
Guess with foxes they are fine to share
Hopefully they don't share the cat door
And let them run inside your shore lol
