Here's what I've been cooking lately...
- Grilled salmon with string beans and red skinned potatoes.
- Grilled turkey pastrami on rye with bean salad.
- Pizza on Naan bread.
- Chicken vegetable soup with cheese and crackers.
- Grilled Ahi tuna steaks, waldorf slaw
- Eggs and toast with fried potatoes, onion, bacon and tomatoes.
What have you been having for dinner?
♥
Let's see, I'll have the pastrami. No wait, the eggs and toast look great. Oh shoot, they all look delicious!
ReplyDeleteI just ate and I think I could go for the pastrami right now, too! haha.
DeleteI'll take the salmon! Of course, the egg dish looks awesome, too!
ReplyDeleteComing right up! :) I love salmon, too, as you know!
DeleteYour meals always look so good!
ReplyDeleteWell, thank you. I do love to eat...so cooking is a must. haha.
DeleteWould you be intersted in adopting me for a week? Your meals always look so delicious and colorful. Tonight it's pasta and italian meatballs and spinach salad.
ReplyDeleteWell, you know I would! haha. Your dinner sounds wonderful! Yum!
DeleteThe last one appeals to me, quick and simple. While we are on the subject of cooking, what is the difference between a grill and a broiler? Just the name? In Engerland we have grills, but the word 'broiler' is very rarely mentioned.
ReplyDeleteA grill here is like an outdoor bbq...heat of some kind (gas, electric or coals) under a grate that you lay the meat on. A broiler is inside the oven...moving the rack up close to the top heating element and cooking it from heat on the top. You can set an oven here on 'broil' and the top element will come on individually. You wouldn't use it to cook something completely, but it melts cheese on French Onion Soup...things like that.
DeleteSo the eye level "grill" on my new cooker, as described by the manufacturer, is in fact an eye level "broiler" because the element is above the food and I make cheesy toast and cook steak on it. I do not possess a grill then? Thanks, now I understand.
DeleteYou probably don't possess a grill inside and most people don't. However, I do! I have one included in my stove and love it. There is a vent that runs through the floor and under the house to take the smoke outside. Most people use a grill pan..a skillet with raised grill marks on it that you use on a stove top burner. Not as good as grilling, but not bad if your inside.
DeleteWell that's me fixed up for the week . . . . lol . . . . yummy! . . :)
ReplyDeleteWhat's the best meal you can make that you would serve if you had company?
DeleteEddie - Beans on toast?
DeleteSo British...and something we do not eat here!
Deletelol . . . I think I could run to an egg as well . . :)
DeleteRun to an egg? lol.....would it run away from you if you started toward it?
Deletelol . . . just another funny Brit expression, "run to" meaning "include as an extra" . . .
DeleteI can see you laughing . . . :)
Of course the egg might be "runny" . . . ha
You Brits....you're brains are all scrambled....or maybe fried. lol.
DeleteYou forgot "poached" and "boiled" . . . lol
DeleteI love scrambled egg . . .
Bon Nuit . . . :)
DeleteSo now you change to German? lol...
DeleteSilly . . . It's French!! . . . . rofl
Deletehaha....yes, of course it is! Can you say it in Spanish?
Delete"Buenos Notches" my little Ohio gal . . . :)
DeleteI can say it but my spelling is wrong so I'd better check it . . .
haha . . . thought so . . . buenas noches
Have a lovely day . . . :)
I have been working at The Rectory ~ we have just started there again for the new year. Lovely weather ~ seeing baby Rosa this afternoon . . .
