Yes, he's not racing but I got to look at him ...without a helmet on! hahaha....
Aw . . . you got to look at him ~ and on Valentine's Day too . . :)
Could you hear my heart beating way over there?thumpity thump thump. lol....
Oh that explains it ~ I thought there was something wrong with my central heating boiler pump . . . lol
And there I was thinking it was beating for me . . . . :)
Back for seconds? haha.
I don't know, but I think I might need a glass of milk. Red Velvet is one of my favs. Yours looks delish. Oh and that cake platter is perfect.
Milk would be very yummy with it! One ice cold glass coming up!
Yum... I wish you could serve us each a slice, too! I'm with Laurie, thinking that a glass of milk would go great with the cake. Your frosting is beautiful! When I used to make "Waldorf Astoria" cakes the cooked frosting always ended up full of crumbs when put on the cake.
Hi there...it's been a while! I've had cakes like that....crumbs with the frosting. Kind of messy but they still taste yummy!
That looks wonderful. I'll have black coffee with mine please, not too strong and one sugar. We went to wedding not long ago where the cake was red velvet and made by a friend of the mother of the bride. It was horribly dry and really difficult to choke down as by the time it arrived (late) there was nothing left to drink.I am sure your cake is vastly superior in every way.Have a happy day.
Oh dear....a flop of a wedding cake is not good! I hate dry cake anyway..it's got to be moist! And late, too? Hopefully they got all the bad luck out of the way and their marriage will be long and wonderful! haha.
Hi Betsy - looks gorgeous .. and I bet it doesn't last long in your household. I'll have some tea please ... and a long lingering chat on the sofa, then perhaps a slither for seconds! and another cup of tea ... and linger longer nattering happily on a-wondering at your delightful decorations and garden specials ... Happy Valentine's Day .. cheers Hilary
We're having company tonight so I suspect it will be gone! Which is good because I'd be eating it for breakfast the next day for sure! haha.
Could feed a bunch with thatThere at your blog matThe cat would eat it with easeThen he'd get yelled at and off he'd breeze lol
My Slate would eat it, toobut the other cats would say Ew.
Betsy..your cake is beautiful! Happy Valentine's day..you are a sweetheart to all who know you. XO
Thank you, Marsha.....hope your day is happy and full of love!
Double wishes...love that. lol....

It's heavenly beautiful. Perfect for Valentine's Day! Have a wonderful one!!
How many jumping jacks must I do to work off a slice? haha...
Lol ... I know ... Starting next week my sugar free challenge ... I cannot postpone it anymore ... I find that the first time it is always easier because you don't know what to expect but now I already know ... oh my! Wish me luck!! Wanna join btw? :-)
Do I want to join a sugar free challenge? No! hahahaha.... How long are you doing that?
Well at least 6 weeks, so till Easter. But taking it week by week really. For sugar cravings there is a wonderful substitute Stevia but it has to be pure! Are you in? It is challenging mostly because we have to cook for our families ... and bake ... oh dear! .... lol ... but we could keep each other support or if anyone else is in, that would be great too! :-)
But no pressure Betsy! You can join in any time at your convenience:-)
Ohhhh lol ... I did not see your little 'no' before the hahaha ... lol ... ok, no worries then!! :-)
lol....yes, I said no! hahaha. But good for you!
