Yum... I wish you could serve us each a slice, too! I'm with Laurie, thinking that a glass of milk would go great with the cake. Your frosting is beautiful! When I used to make "Waldorf Astoria" cakes the cooked frosting always ended up full of crumbs when put on the cake.
That looks wonderful. I'll have black coffee with mine please, not too strong and one sugar. We went to wedding not long ago where the cake was red velvet and made by a friend of the mother of the bride. It was horribly dry and really difficult to choke down as by the time it arrived (late) there was nothing left to drink. I am sure your cake is vastly superior in every way. Have a happy day.
Oh dear....a flop of a wedding cake is not good! I hate dry cake anyway..it's got to be moist! And late, too? Hopefully they got all the bad luck out of the way and their marriage will be long and wonderful! haha.
Hi Betsy - looks gorgeous .. and I bet it doesn't last long in your household. I'll have some tea please ... and a long lingering chat on the sofa, then perhaps a slither for seconds! and another cup of tea ... and linger longer nattering happily on a-wondering at your delightful decorations and garden specials ... Happy Valentine's Day .. cheers Hilary
Lol ... I know ... Starting next week my sugar free challenge ... I cannot postpone it anymore ... I find that the first time it is always easier because you don't know what to expect but now I already know ... oh my! Wish me luck!! Wanna join btw? :-)
Well at least 6 weeks, so till Easter. But taking it week by week really. For sugar cravings there is a wonderful substitute Stevia but it has to be pure! Are you in? It is challenging mostly because we have to cook for our families ... and bake ... oh dear! .... lol ... but we could keep each other support or if anyone else is in, that would be great too! :-)
Happy Valentine's day Betsy for you and yours men!!!
