Oh, that sounds delicious. Have fun shopping at home. :)
Those white elephants can be SO fun!One down...still looking for another!
Sounds great fun . . . . have a great time . . . :)
I hope everyone has a good time...it's a great group,so no worries, really! :)
Oh yum....that is such a pretty color of cake batter. We decided to do a funny white elephant for our family this year and I'm doing the same thing trying to find something to share. We can also be creative and make something silly...so I have my work cut our for me.Have fun at the party and save me a slice of cake. I'll have it for breakfast tomorrow. haha
Isn't it pretty? I like it a little darker like that...added Hershey's SpecialDark Cocoa to it. That batter tasted good, so it should be ok!White elephants are so much fun! Making something would be interesting!Cake for breakfast...yes, I think that's a fabulous idea! That will be meMonday morning!
That is my very favorite! Whether it's Red Velvet cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory, or frozen yogurt from Orange Leaf (not sure if you have those stores in OH), or red velvet brownies with cream cheese icing, or on and on I could go. ha ha. In one way I'm glad I don't need to go back to Cleveland, but in another way the trip to OH would be worth it just to eat some of these delicious foods you make! I'm with Wanda - enjoy the party and save a slice for me!Marla
I have not heard of Orange Leaf! I'll have to Google it just to be sure I'm not missing something right here under my nose! If you ever come through Ohio you must look me up!
Orange Leaf is a frozen yogurt place where you get a cup, pick the different kinds of yogurt you want, add toppings like nuts, sprinkles, etc., then you set your cup on the checkout scale to see how much it weighs and pay according to that. They have many flavors of yogurt to choose from, and they have a Red Velvet yogurt that I get every time! It's the BEST!!
That sounds really yummy! And I just looked them up and there is one about 25 minutes from me!
First there is work...then there will be fun! haha.
Ohhhhh - look at that red! I love, love, love red velvet anything. I applaud the person who "invented" it.Have fun with the white elephants. Do the kitties hang around when there is company?
I'm sure there's a neat story about it's invention. Seems to me it is aSouthern American thing...maybe a restaurant chef....I'll have to look it up!
*Drool*Red velvet cake is a favorite of mine, my dear MIL used to make one every Christmas.Enjoy your party, sounds like a lot of fun is planned :)~Jo
I never had it until I made it last year! I was pleasantly surprised! It's a new, wonderful tradition now.
Sure wish I lived close enough to "invite myself." (I didn't want to say "CRASH IT"....) Ah, but since I don't, please post to share the wonderful things you are planning and preparing! And pics of the wonderful event, including the hostess!
Of course you would have been invited...but crashing would have been fun, too. :)Yes, I'll take pics...you know me..camera attached to my arm. haha....
Oooh, red velvet, yum! Have fun at your party!
It turned out pretty! Too bad we have to wait for a slice!
