Raindrops On Roses And Whiskers On Kittens

Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens.
Well....maybe not the mittens part just yet. ha.

The rain has been most cooperative lately!
It rained during the night and then stopped and
let the sun shine brightly while I was out and about
this morning.  Then this afternoon while I was
home and inside, the rain came back.
Perfect!

  1. We are swamped! We have enough rain to share with 5 states. Enough, I say! lol

    1. It really is too bad we can't send some to California and other states suffering so much.
It sure is good for the garden and lawn, though...I love seeing it so lush.

  2. Same here. We have the mornings to get done what's needed and then we have afternoon thunderstorms. I got a 2 hour bike ride in this morning, lunch with hubby and now contemplating a trip to the mall. Thing is, it's about time for a thunderstorm.

  3. We were supposed to get a big storm....had a downpour at 9am...nothing since!
I got 2 linen cupboards cleaned out! 3 big bags to donate!
Hope we get some more tonight!
    Enjoy your evening...
    Cheers!

    1. I'm cleaning out and filling thrift store bags, too! Will drop them off in the morning while I'm out.

  4. Sure wish you could send some our way. Water restrictions are for the birds. The air needs a good dousing...allergies are driving me crazy.

    1. It really is too bad, isn't it? We have rain to spare and you need it desperately!

  5. Very co-operative weather you are having locally ~ pouring down here. Yes shame there are States needing rain and not getting it whilst everyone else gets deluged. Strange weather patterns . . .

    1. It doesn't usually work that way. For years I joked that it only rained when I was out to do my shopping. ha.
      I've had better luck recently!

  6. I loved your picture of the raindrops on the window, it reminded me of "The Lady with a Gamp". I emailed you a picture of her.

  7. The perfect way to be
Get the needed rain at your sea
And it lets you get your things
No need to fly over it with wings

  8. I am glad you have whipped the weather into shape!
Hot and humid here, but rained a bit this morning. Thunder on and off early morning but didn't amount to anything.
Your photo makes me think of lazy, napping days.

    1. So humid here...you'd think the rain would wash it away but not yet! It's just steamy after the rain!

  9. Lovely! Sometimes those rainy days are just perfect!

The same happened for Serena and I this morning. We went to town and the rain came after we were home again all snug in our house, I've discovered that thunderstorms on the mountain top sound different than they do down in the flatlands. I love love how the thunder rolls around and then down the mountain! and the rain is often gentle to the point where I don't know it's actually raining unless I look out and see it. Beautiful!

  12. Well it's nice when the weather cooperates with us. I love the rain on your window....and now I will be singing "A few of my Favorite Things" the rest of the day. I found a little wooden sign several years ago in Idaho that said that. I have it on the top of my hutch.
