Because Sometimes,

a girl just needs a cheerful new coffee cup!
I'm enjoying some quiet today because tomorrow
I'll be enjoying noise!  43 cars with 800 horsepower,
250,000 other fans, suntans, sunglasses, and junk food.
Yep, I'm going to the Brickyard 400!

  1. That's pretty. What is Brickyard? Some sort of car racing perhaps?

    1. Yes. The sport is NASCAR ..the race is called The Brickyard. It's like Formula One, Indy Car. FIA.

    2. I haven't go to grips with NASCAR. We don't have it here. What makes it different?
We don't have Indy Car come to that. We have Formula 1, 2, and 3 I think. There used to be Formula Ford where all the cars started out as a basic Ford. Probably still is but there's less motor racing on the TV channels that I watch than there used to be. And I did know a farmer who had about 10 different Minis he raced. Then there's rallying which happens in forests and at night and you need a navigator. That's before you even start on stockcar racing, or motor bikes or......

    3. Nascar is stock car racing....that separates it from the Formula cars.

      The minis sound fun!

    2. He is staying home with the boys so I can go with Taylor and Lauren. We tried to find a sitter so he could go too, but it didn't work out. If you watch and see me, wave! Ha.

    3. I thought by "HE" Keith meant Jeff Gordon is driving. Maybe not. Hope he is, though, as I know he's your guy!

  10. Pretty little mug, just says happy coffee time. Speaking of coffee...when I made the whipped cream for the pie today, I only used a cup from the qt. carton...tonight my dearest and i had a cup of decaf (his choice) and I put real heavy cream and a spoon of sugar and it tasted like heaven, and I refused to see how many calories it had.

Have a great time with Taylor and Lauren tomorrow. Today Myk and the boys came for lunch and a visit. Aren't our adult kids fun to be with? Post some pictures later.

  12. Betsy, I love mugs. Me and my daughter use to buy them as souvenir when we travel around the world.
Today she's flying to Californa (lucky girl) to spend two weeks studying and having fun and guess... I asked her to bring home a new mug!
    Have a great week
