Here's what we've been eating lately...
- Red potatoes, sugar snaps, sweet corn and bacon. I started with sauteing the bacon in the skillet, then adding boiled potatoes and snaps, cut the corn off the cob and added it right in. Super yummy.
- Store-bought ham and cheese quiche. This one is very good for a convenience food. Cuisine Adventures. Got it at Sams Club.
- Teriyaki steak and fresh pineapple kabobs.
- Gazpacho. Chilled, spicy and perfect for hot summer days. I have to tell you that The Mister kept calling it Gestapo. OK...laughed so hard I cried. He didn't know what was so funny until I explained...
- Creamy chicken, mushroom and peas on rice. Yummy garlicky sauce that started with mascarpone cheese.
- Chicken salad with grapes, celery and cucumbers. The binder was mayo with a little of each Marzetti dressings...Poppy Seed and Sweet Onion.

Gosh when I saw "What's for dinner?" . . . at first I imagined that lot of beautifully prepared food was for one sitting . . . lol
ReplyDeleteI all looks absolutely delicious . . . yum to everything . . . :)
All this for one meal? No.... It's just what we've had lately....like I post each week.
DeleteI know . . . just joking . . . my Brit humour again . . . :)
DeleteI all looks great , , , :)
hmmm...yes, that British humor...now if this was the first time I did a post like this, it would have been
Deletefunny to me. But 4 weeks into a weekly meme....ah, I just don't get the humor. Is it really British
humor or Eddie humor? That is the real question. lol....
Yes you might be right . . .sorry . . . :)
Deletelol....no you aren't! ha. :)
DeleteWell, it all looks delicious to me!
ReplyDeleteWell, thank you! Fun, easy meals to put together...yum.

Beauty header!
DeleteIt's just fun to cook, isn't it? I know you love it as much as me. Sure the occasional
Deleteday off is nice, but it's great to create and then eat something yummy.
Forget-me-nots bloomed from seed! yay! No hydrangeas, though....three plants of green leaves. Sigh!
Perhaps they are Fall bloomers?
DeleteHi Betsy - just my kind of food - they all look delicious. Simple too .. that's the main thing, but they sound tasty. Love potato salads ... and I quite often make a French Peasant Salad ... all good things, with bacon, fried bread bits, or garlic bread bits and perhaps a hard-boiled egg ... then covered in dressing. Cheers - lovely and tasty looking ... Hilary
ReplyDeleteSimple is the key...I do agree with that.....I like dinner to take 20 to 30 minutes to make. That salad sounds really good!
DeleteYum! Do you do catering in Michigan?
ReplyDeletehaha...no...and there are rarely leftovers here with these men! lol....
DeleteThose plates look good ... just love the look of those strawberries and blueberries on that last picture.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Gosh, you always leave me wanting to raid the fridge! My latest dinner was homemade zucchini lasagna. Dh loves it and it's low carb. We like simple, too- especially in this hot weather, who feels like cooking in a hot kitchen!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness....I shouldn't have brought you with me on the bike trip. Meals like that would no doubt make me peddle faster and longer.
