Just a little Star Report.
She's doing great! Eating, drinking and sleeping well.
She's trotting along beside me as I walk around the house.
She loves to look out the window.
She's still dreadfully thin but it will take a
while to get her to a healthy weight.
She still loves this big bowl, but has also
taken to sleeping stretched out in the window seat
instead of sleeping sitting up as if she's on guard.
I think that is a very good sign!
I worked an auction today so she was on her own
with the other cats. Looks like everyone did great!
♥
Haha! She look really cute there!
ReplyDeleteShe was making me laugh in that bowl!
DeleteShe is adorable Betsy!
DeleteYes, I think so, too!
DeleteAwww!
DeleteAw - she looks a lot better... I don't think she has a grumpy face at all! I am glad everyone behaved while you were gone and it's great that she is less "on guard." Happy sign indeed.
ReplyDeleteShe has improved every day~ so fun to see her blossom!
DeleteI just can't stop looking at her in that bowl. It's too cute!
DeleteIt was really cute when she fell asleep with her head hanging over the edge! ha.
DeleteOops - meant for my "Awww" to go here...
DeleteShe certainly is a character. I think one day she will be ruling the roost!
ReplyDeleteShe might some day! I'd love to know how old she is...she might be the oldest!
DeleteI think Keith may be right. And how lovely to have another girl - you don't have many!
DeleteNo, not too many! And some disappeared, like Tipper, Oreo and Grey.
DeleteShe's a lovely little Star, and already looking much better and happy !
ReplyDeleteYou're a good egg Betsy Brock ;)
~Jo
Funny...it was Peaches that I put all the blood, sweat and tears into...and didn't get to see him thrive.
DeleteStar comes along and is hardly any work at all...just a knock on the door and handed to me.
She just needed food and love. :)
She looks far more relaxed now at your sea
ReplyDeleteNo longer thinking everything is scary
Happy as can be is she
Her bowl the place to be
I wonder which life she is on.
DeleteHope 8 aren't already gone.
Although she was pretty bad.
Maybe a few are already had.
That may be
DeleteBut at least so wasn't so skinny
That she needed to be fed through a tube in the neck
That is not fun to have on deck
That is very true.
DeleteDidn't have that at the zoo.
She might have had that at the vet
where 14 days she took what she could get.
What a cutie in that bowl! Just precious as can be. Those eyes kill me. I think you really hit the jackpot with her and Slate. Lynne in NC
ReplyDeleteShe's going to be a sweetheart! :) Yes, her eyes are amazing. They are huge!
DeleteStar looks as if she feels safe in the bowl. My daughter's cat loves to hide in cardboard boxes. It's just her thing.
ReplyDeleteMy Slate always tries to fix into boxes....it's hilarious!
DeleteAw, Betsy, she looks really good. All those issues and already I see an improvement in her eyes. I see she lost the tip of her ear, too. Well, you are her angel, for sure. She reminds me so much of an older cat I adopted that was black and had a round face like Star. I named her Dharma and she was with us for 5 years. She had a full life as we think she was 14 when we adopted her. Thanks for the memory-jog. Do you leave food outside for your cats? I'm wondering if Peaches comes by to eat and then leaves.
ReplyDeleteShe's made some big improvements, that is for sure. It's amazing what hydration and food will do for you. If the humane society spays/neuters a cat, they will tip the ear as a sign that the cat is already fixed, so I'm guessing that is what happened there. And she's been declawed...someone had her as an indoor pet at one time.
DeleteDharma sounds like a sweetheart.....
We can't leave food outside any more...we had so many raccoon and skunks when we did that! Peach would just lay out on the porch and nap until I came out and fed him, so I doubt he would change that routine now. Who knows what happened....I fear the worst but hope for the best.
Beautiful shot of Star . . . you might say I am 'bowled over' by her . . . :)
ReplyDeletelol....
DeleteJust as I am bowled over with you . . . . lol . . :)
DeleteSteady Eddie! Remember your blood pressure. . . . . .
Deletelol . . . . Last time I had it checked it was quite normal . . . . rofl
DeleteShe looks like a sweetie!
ReplyDeleteShe is sweet...very quiet, but watching everything with those big eyes!
DeleteLooking good!
ReplyDeleteYou're a great Mom♥️
She is shining brightly...
Cheers!
Linda :o)
Greatly improved, isn't she? Poor girl...but she's making good progress.
DeleteShe needs a good brushing but she won't let me do that yet.
She's looking so good! I like her smushed in little nose. Glad she's happy!
ReplyDeleteShe has the tiniest little nose! ha.
DeleteYour little Star has good taste. I like the bowl too!
ReplyDeleteI moved it down on my desk so I could talk to her while she's in there. :)
DeleteOf course you did!
DeleteI'd wasnt her close to me too! She is adorable!
Yes..close and the fact that she was making the kitchen counter her home was kind of weird. ha.
DeleteI am so happy to hear she is settling in so well. What a smart cat! She knows she is in good hands :-)
ReplyDeleteEvery day she seems a little better...so fun to watch!
DeleteGreat photo. Really nice bowl too.
ReplyDeleteHartstone Pottery. :)
DeleteAw, she knows you love her. That's the best reward of all.
ReplyDelete:0)
I think she's getting that idea. :)
DeleteAwww--that sweet face and those beautiful eyes, she is just adorable.
ReplyDeletePat
She's going to be a beauty!
DeleteShe's a cutie..a furry bundle of love!
ReplyDeleteShe was rubbing her head all over me today....aw.
DeleteShe is gorgeous!!! Her breed?---is she Bombay?
ReplyDeleteWow.
I have no idea....I'll have to look up Bombay and take a look!
DeleteSo sweet...she seems so happy.
ReplyDeleteShe's becoming more and more comfortable...adapting much faster than I expected, too!
DeletePretty, gorgeous big eyes. Cute that she likes the bowl.
ReplyDeleteShe does have huge eyes! They're looking a bit more sparkly, too. :)
DeleteStar really does know how to steal one's heart. I am glad the adjustments are smooth.
ReplyDeleteShe has adjusted SO well...I'm surprised, actually. I thought she might cower under a bed for weeks but she has done very well.
DeleteShe looks better every day! Can't believe we've had her a week already!
