What a gorgeous photo Betsy! You are so lovely with little star showing how quickly she has acclimated to her new home. I believe you have Dr. Dolittle instincts for certain. She came along at just the right time to make up for Peach's disappearance. Lynne in NC
You're so right....she has been a pleasant distraction as I was sick that Peach didn't come back. She's been here a week already and has settled in much quicker than I thought possible. Until today, she would allow me to pick her up but I could tell she was merely tolerating it. Today she would snuggle in and purr. So sweet. She won't sit down on my lap yet, but she did sleep on our bed last night. We were amazed....
You two are looking good. I am still holding out for Peach to come back. The only foreclosure cat we took in is really uncomfortable being picked up and held. He likes to hang close though. Glad Star is settling in there. Taria
I don't know what happened there, I only sent that comment once! (but I would have liked to send it a hundred times, but that would be silly wouldn't it?)
Her coat is full of mats and she's tolerating me untangling them one by one. If I start on a second one she nips at me. lol....But she's looking better~a little hydrated and she's probably gained a few ounces. She's getting her spunk back....makes me smile to see her trotting around the house. :)
Why look! It's two stars! Lovely, lovely photo. I do like her "pug" face. She looks furrier to me .So happy to see her filling out. And every time you mention her trotting around the house... I smile. I can just picture it.
It's especially cute when the first few days she moved as if she was stiff and not used to running around...not to mention very weak and sick. When she started trotting it was just so adorable! It's as if she's saying, "You're going out to the kitchen? Let me lead the way!" and off she goes...lol....
She sure has! This morning is the first that is cool enough to open the windows and she is loving laying in the window sill, listening to the birds and watching the breeze rustle the trees!
The mister took it....he never uses my camera so I was giving instructions ....what a hilarious few minutes. My smile was fading as he was trying everything to make Star look at the camera....she was having none of that! haha....
Great picture, Betsy! You are very pretty! Does Star have her ears peeled back. Looks like her patience is wearing thin. Good thing the Mister got the picture when he did.
