In The Autism World Lately

Alex just doesn't like these ketchup bottles!
He doesn't care if the label is upside down, just
don't have the thing standing on it's cap!
He's been known to peak inside the refrigerator
just to make sure it's standing the 'right' way. ha.

    1. Actually, I don't like it all filling the spout...when you open the lid, it can spit out at you! So, I'm with Alex!

  3. lol I sit them upright too
Until it gets to the bottom at my zoo
Then flip them on the cap
To get the last from inside the flap

    1. It really is! And when the fridge got crowded a while back, I had to move the ketchup from it's designated spot. haha...that didn't last long!

    2. My grandma once stayed with my brothers when Tim was small. She rearranged a few little things, pictures and such. That didn't last long either. He put them all back where they belonged.

    3. Alex insists on a lot of things being in the right spot. "Right" being relative. He want's my coffee pot on the left side of the sink, my camera on my desk to the right of my laptop and my purse hanging in my closet...among about 100 other things. :) Every day he gets off the bus and walks around putting everything in it's place. :)

  7. I agree with Alex, too. He is right on this one. My fridge would probably drive him crazy.

    1. Oh, he'd have it all organized for you in no time! haha. Then you wouldn't be able to find anything!

  8. This is a bit of a quirk to me as well. And the shampoo bottles---I guess it's to make it come out faster but I never know which end is up! Ha!

  10. What a sweet story about the peeking. Our new fridge came with tee-ninecy little slot-things on the bottoms of the doors, like the "pockets" in car doors. Ketchup has always lived upside down at the end in old fridge door, and I worried that Sweetpea couldn't find them at first. Didn't allow for her height, silly me---she was right down there near them, and grabbed it right away..

    1. oh, that's cute...glad those pockets worked out for you. They drove me crazy when we got our new fridge...the fat things that had always been in the doors had to find new spots!

  11. Well tell Alex I don't like it upside down either. I love that he checks the refrigerator to make sure.... Have a great week Betsy.

    1. He spends a lot of time making sure everything is in it's spot. haha....

  12. Aw, so sweet that he peeks in to double check! My mayo is that way but I like it because it comes out of the bottle more easily and there's no having to dip in and out with a knife.

    1. good point about the mayo.....I haven't bought that design yet for it!

  13. ...no metter what for the world is right...that's your refrigerator and he can do what mekes him happier

  14. Alex has a good point. Personally, I find those plastic bottles hard to use after a while - the plastic seems to harden; may as well use a glass one!

    1. I used to drive my ex-wife crazy because I arranged the fridge with the dairy produce on the top shelf, jams, pickles, sauces, etc., on the next shelf. Then the cooked meats, chicken, pies on the third shelf and at the bottom the uncooked meat, fish and bacon, alongside the "Freshabox" containing the salad stuff! Next day I would look in again and find everything all mixed up. Kids! Ha!

Like Alex, I like everything in it's place, whether it's right or wrong. And I store my ketchup the same as Alex; it seems wrong somehow standing on the cap. . .

    2. Mike ~ I think you're right!

Keith ~ I like everything orderly like that, too...it makes cooking so much easier when you know right where everything is! And before going shopping, you can immediately see what needs to be replaced!

  15. I can see his point! Despite the reversed letters ... Smile

    1. yep....he doesn't care at all about the label!

  16. I agree with Alex that the lid should be on top, except when the bottle is nearly empty. Then it's good to turn "upside down" to help get that last little bit out faster. He sounds very organized, at least when it comes to ketchup containers. :)

    1. So true...

Yes, he is very organized. He makes sure everything is just so. He even turns the shampoo bottles around and lines them up on the edge of the tub. ha.

  17. I can sympathise with his views too. Either way up, you can never get the last bit out.
