Random Thoughts

  1. I was sitting at my desk answering some emails when this ad popped up.  Pat who?  haha....Hey, I know that guy...I know that book!  I edited that book! Usually the ads lately are "Join Hilary Clinton's Team by clicking here!" Um, no...no thank you. lol.
  2. I lost my temper last night.  I know it doesn't sound like a big deal but I never do that.  In fact, I had to stop and think when the last time was, and it was when Taylor was a junior in high school...so it's been 7 years! haha.  My moods are even keeled, and I'm pretty good at biting my tongue, keeping my composure and acting appropriately even if I'm angry.  I remember with Taylor it was a parent vs. teenager moment and I threw a plastic bottle across a bedroom.  lol...It sounds hilarious now.  Last night Harry was the irritant.  And I'll just leave it at that.  Looking back on it now, my emotions were spent and my patience completely gone.  Sigh! Maybe it won't happen for another 7 years.  Let's hope not.  Mark your calendars now everyone, and stay away!
  3. Still no sign of Peach.  My heart is broken.  He only came once, last Tuesday, since his vet trip.  I never really got to see him in a better state.  I hope he's healing well and feeling healthy.
  4. I bought myself new panties this month....or 'unders' as the men call them around here...(theirs, not mine. ha.)  If you need new ones, ladies, check out this site.  They are not only the prettiest ones I've ever had, (lace and rhinestones?  sure...why not?) but they are most comfortable. Their matching sets are really nice, too....I have a few of them!  And...they are having a sale right now!
  5. Our neighbors had a dead tree cut down and removed last week and today a few men and a neat piece of machinery came and took out the big stump.  They knocked on our door and asked me if I would like our stumps removed (we have 3 in the front yard) and of course I said yes.  It total cost was $50.  Isn't that incredibly cheap?  I sent The Mister a text saying, "So, I hope you don't mind I'm removing those stumps in the yard today."  haha...I haven't heard from him yet but I'm sure he has the mental image of me out there swinging an ax.  I have been known to do crazy things like that spur of the moment! :)
Alright, enough rambling.
I know you're used to many photos and few words.
We'll return to that format tomorrow. ha.

  1. Oh Betsy....you are so darling. I love your posts, and todays was exceptional... Your words are as delightful as your photos. Temper...7 years...I applaud you. I went to the panty site, and laughed till my sides hurt....Then I remembered you could be my daughter....I had a mental picture of me in those cutie patootie undies. However, I do remember wearing similar ones Macy's had years ago when I had a cute little shape.
So sad that Peaches has not come back....Never give up....Hope your day is super good. Send hugs and love.

    1. Aw, come on now...I bet those undies come in your size. Ask Don if he wants you to get them. :)

I haven't given up on Peach...but I sure am wasting a lot of time looking out the back door for him.....

  2. Oh, dear...didn't know Peaches wasn't coming around. I bet he'll be back. And, as far as losing your temper goes, you are clearly a very patient person. How lucky for all the people who cross your path.

  3. I hope Harry is alive! I don't lose it very often, but when I do it is scary silence. I tend to get things out of my system so they don't build up.
I am still holding out hope for Peaches!
I will check out the undies site. And hey, three for $50 is great! Stumps that is... Not undies - lol.

  4. I think Peach must basically be a loner. Trying not to worry that he might have got run over. Making do with the wildlife in my courtyard. Discovered I have two, not one, chipmunks. Yesterday they were racing through my shrubbery and playing inside the cubby holes in my pierced brick walls. I saw them "kiss", so I wonder whether there will be an entire family showing up this summer. At the same time a female cardinal was collecting building materials. So cute whenever she would have to fly a short distance and then re-balance her load before taking off again. Lynne in NC

  5. Good to know I beat Clinton anyday lol
    Works for my bay
Peaches must be a happy camper now
And off chasing down a cow?
    $50 is cheap indeed
Be funny to see you swing an ax at your feed
Maybe that will keep the temper away for 14 years
Does your temper cause fears? lol

    1. My temper doesn't cause fears
as people don't see it for years.
I hope Peach is chasing a cow
or maybe it is a sow?
I gave the guy a nice tip
and $50 was a little too hip!

Gosh . . . you lost your temper . . or as we say "Flipped your lid!" . lol. . . I think even you are entitled to "Lose Your Rag" once in a while . . I expect Harry was thinking, "Methinks the Lady doth protest too much". Good job you were not holding that axe . . .
    So sorry about Peach . . . I do hope he returns soon . . . Panties . . . .we call them Undies sometimes . . . I am sure they look lovely and feel comfortable . . .
Good about the tree stumps . . . a bargain to get rid of those . . . but you could have done it for free with the axe last night when you 'lost it' . . . :)

  8. Special order new undies? YES! Lovely idea. I have to say, losing your temper once every seven years means someone should crown you a saint..because I lose mine every 7 days...HA HA yes I do..I am the most impatient person I know.

What a super deal on tree stump removal! My husband spent an entire day on a back-hoe, then about 4 hours in the trench of it with a hatchet- on one stump. It was the pine tree stump from hades. I'm not going to tell him about your good fortune! LOL!~

    1. These guys had the neatest machine for removing them. It looked like a big riding mower...something like that. It would shred the thing down about 6" under the level of the ground. It took all of 10 minutes. Then they would rake up the scraps like mulch. We have a big one in back that he couldn't get to because our fence gate was too narrow...too bad at that price. But at least the others are gone.

  9. Hope the trimmers didn't hear about the pretty new undies : 0 DD calls them under trousers just to be wacky. I had Jeep Renegades popping up on my ads but somehow I got pretty dresses. Beautiful $500-900 dresses I would love to wear but even if I could afford them I don't have anywhere to wear them. I click on one once in awhile in hopes they will keep showing up. I Keep checking in to see Peaches news. I hope he will be back. He might be eating around the 'hood. I hope so.

As soon as Peach arrives, I shall let everyone know! Or maybe you'll just hear me cheer. haha.

  14. Awww...I feel so bad about Peach. Animals tug at my heartstrings.

Tempers. I need to follow you and only have an outburst every seven years instead of minutes.

Panties. Wow, you leave nothing left to the imagination on your blog!!! Rhinestones? My hubby gets excited over flannels! Dare I look at this website? I'm sure he'd spring for a few undies!

Stumps. Great deal. Hubby would let me spend $$ on anything if I had those undies!

  15. Good morning Betsy! You deserve a medal if you loose your temper just once in a 7 years! My frequency is much less, once in a 5 maybe? ... My fingers still crossed for Peach, lets still believe!!! I can imagine how you feel. Many thanks for stopping y at my blog. No comments allowed just because I don't find the time for replies, visiting etc. maybe one day when my little one, the human one, will be older. But I do always visit your blog, in fact, I do wake up 5 mins earlier every day to have a quiet time to sip my coffee and enjoy your pictures or words. And btw. I do enjoy both no matter whether just the pics or your lines!! Have a wonderful day Betsy! Ps: there is nothing such as comfortable and sexy panties is there?! ;-)

    1. Well, aren't you sweet reading my post every morning. :) So, do I still call you Birdie? Yes on the sexy with comfort. I got the 'high leg brief' mainly because the reviews raved that they were so comfy...and they are. I swear...best ever...no bunching, riding up...perfect! They were also on sale...I'd never pay full price..haha...

Thanks for that about Peach....I'm still hoping....looked for him this morning. Still hope to see his little orange self on my back porch!
