I was thinking as long as the light switch is in the on position, it works! Like Wanda says, I know your days are difficult, but I'm glad you can laugh occasionally. Growing up, my mom was legally blind. One time, she held up a can and asked dad "is this peaches?" He's reading the paper and says yes. We had carrot cobbler that night!!!! Sometimes you just have to laugh!
Oh yes, I figured that out after I'd commented. As long as we didn't want it dark, we'd be ok! ha.
Carrot cobbler...haha....I'm surprised she didn't notice the smell wasn't right. Men do tend to say 'yes' from behind the newspaper pages, don't they? Hilarious.
That really the cutest thing ever. I know there is a lot not to smile at with your 24/7 life, but this is just funny, and I love that you find it so too. Not unlike where Don puts things when he's trying to help. HaHa
haha...Oh, yes...I know what you mean! Sometimes I can't find something and can't get a hold of the mister at work and I have to say, "Think like Jeff...where would he put that?" haha. But Alex just cracks me up. I laughed out loud when I walked through the laundry room this afternoon. :)
I came back to look at the picture again. Years ago my mom babysat a little guy who repeatedly hung his bottle on a little metal hook on the end of the cabinet where Mom usually hung her dish towel. I love little things like that. :0)
It always helps if you have a sense of humor, you my dear have a wonderful one :) I like it that the men help you around the house, even if it turns into a scavenger hunt next time you need the item ! Hugs, ~Jo
Yes, a sense of humor has come in handy as far as survival goes. I would be dead without it! ha! Harry does a few funny things, too. In the last couple of weeks, he's insisted all the knives be on the magnetic strip on the side of the refrigerator....even the dirty one laying in the sink! haha.
Great to see him wanting to help . . . that's worth a lot I think . . but it was funny as well . . . :) You will be rewarded greatly Betsy one day . . . you are a wonderful mother . . . :)
Oh myyyyyyy! I had to laugh and laugh! That was funny. And you know what? It makes perfect sense! By the way, I love your little basket holding... dryer sheets? Very sweet.
Yes, dryer sheets. And the scissors usually hang on the hook along with the basket. I guess he thought the scissors went on that wall somewhere, he just couldn't think exactly where. haha.
That's cute - it works "part" of the time, huh? Wishing you guys a great evening.
ReplyDeleteYes, some of the time things go where they belong! Some times, not so much,...but it always makes me laugh!

DeleteLife certainly is an adventure sometimes.
ReplyDeleteThe smiles do definitely make the day a bit brighter.
Humor just makes everything better. :)
DeleteI like it.

I do, too!
DeleteI came back to look at the picture again.

He probably thought that was a clever little bottle holder she had! :)

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ....
ReplyDeleteThey sure keep you on your toes and a smile on your face.
This one I wasn't expecting. He'd only been home about 3 minutes. Just cracked me up! :)
DeleteSo? What's wrong with that? I do it all the time. I always know exactly where my scissors are; in the fridge, next to the back door key.
ReplyDeleteDo you also take off your dirty socks and put them back in the closet with the clean ones? Harry has been doing that lately. :)
DeleteNo, I just take my dirty socks off and stand them in the corner! Ha.
Deleteha!
Deletehe is so cute:))
ReplyDelete(And he is most order than me!)
He does love to put things away! He has to do certain things before getting on the bus in the morning or going to bed at night! Sigh!
Delete:)
DeleteI have to admire his creativity.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he thought it was very practical!
Deletelol, "where to put it, where to put it?" on the 'hook' of course! too cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it made perfect sense to him! ha.
DeleteI like it!
ReplyDeleteMade you smile, didn't it! ha.

Sorry, Michelle, did not mean to cut in ~ my comment went to the wrong place . . . :)
DeleteHe does keep himself busy making sure things are where he thinks they should be.
DeleteSome of it is a bit irritating but most of it is just funny! :)
Perhaps he heard you talking about a power CUT . . . :)
DeleteIs that like a power outage?
DeleteYes . . . same thing, but with your phrase the scissors somehow lose their relevance . . . :)
Deletelol well now they are handy
ReplyDeleteThat is just dandy
And he wasn't running with them at your sea
Putting them "away" to help thee
That is true
DeleteJust cleaning up and helping, too!
As long as the light is on
we'll be able to find them from night until dawn.
I like it. It all makes sense to him and to me too. That switch can do double duty.
ReplyDeleteIt sure can! ha.
DeleteI love this...made me laugh and tear up....
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
I hear you are warming up!
Awesome....
Cheers!
Linda :o)
It's supposed to be warm all week! But I just have this feeling it's a tease and it will be cold again.
DeleteBut the sunshine sure was nice today!
One more day for us......
DeleteAt least you'll have warm weather to travel through!
DeleteWell, here in our house it's where our scissors rest!!
ReplyDeleteWell now, that's easy, isn't it! ha.
Deletehey, it makes sense to me....
ReplyDeleteha...
made me smile...
thought it would! :)
DeleteHaha, well they're easy to see that way. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, they certainly were! :)

DeleteThat is so cute! I know you laughed at that. Laughing is always good!
ReplyDeleteYes, I got a good chuckle out of it!
DeleteAlex gets an 'A' for effort and you get an 'A' for being a good, patient mom. Taria
ReplyDeleteWell, thanks...he was making an effort, wasn't he!
Deletehaha cute!! :)
ReplyDeleteSure made me laugh.....he comes up with some good ones sometimes!
Delete=) Away... it's relative when my spouse does it, too. He's not quite as creative with his spots to put things... but, close. ;) blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteYeah, nuts cute when Alex does it....not so much when the husbands do it!
DeleteThis made me giggle. You are such a good mom. I love that you find these things funny, too.
ReplyDeleteOh, I always think they are funny! It gives me a little glimpse inside their minds, which I'm always trying to understand!
DeleteWorks for me! This made me smile Betsy. Have a wonderful day. xo
ReplyDeleteIt's been a pretty nice day so far! :)
DeleteOK, I am smiling here too.
ReplyDeleteGood thing! I mean, how could you not?! ha.
DeleteHaving been in the education world and around many children like Alex, I just had to chuckle!
ReplyDeleteThey do march to their own drum, don't they? Funny yet mysterious!
DeleteHow cute is that!
ReplyDeleteHi :)
DeleteYes, I thought so....you just have to laugh sometimes!
I bet your boys keep you on your toes- never a dull moment! You do have some sweet boys!
