Bright Spot

This guy was a welcome splash of color
on this very cold, grey day!
I thanked him with peanuts.
It was a mutually agreeable arrangement. :)

      Ah . . . . it's much more exotic than anything we have in UK ~ quite beautiful ~ I think we should import some plus Cardinals . . . . . I'll try to remember the name, Blue Jay . . . :)

    2. Nothing here....
      Thank goodness!
Perhaps your Blue Jay will nest in your evergreens...
      The babies are too funny!

    3. Our snow is actually sticking!

I've never seen baby Blue Jays...that would be a real treat!

    2. Ohhhh - I hope not! Laughing. Maybe he just wants birdie's peanut! I don't think Garden Girl ever feeds him. :-)

    4. Is he? Ha! Well as long as he has something in his gargoyle tummy.
No snow here but very cold again compared to the warmth we enjoyed for a few days. I have to say I wish it would snow a bit again... although everyone will attack me! I have to show you this link of some photos of what our Eastern provinces have endured the past few weeks. I was considering moving down east this past year - perhaps I should think twice!

  5. Despite their noise-making, I think Blue Jays are one of the most beautiful birds.

    1. I would love that! The birds here are pretty cat savvy, though, and nest away or up very high.

  11. That is a very bright spot. What a beautiful shade of blue. Stand outs so nice against the backgrounds. We enjoyed the bluebirds eating peanuts in Tahoe...no blue jays at the tree house... :(

  13. Beautiful bird! I would not have thought to feed peanuts to a bird. I bring peanuts with me to feed the squirrels on campus.

  14. I am so jealous of your wonderfully coloured wild birds. Despite what it says in "there'll be blue birds over the White cliffs of Dover" the wild birds over here splash out on colour as though it was precious.

    1. How stingy of them! haha. Yes, I agree you need some red Cardinals and blue Jays! I had both in my tree yesterday and was quite colorful! I do love your little robins, though....so sweet!

  17. We are having the same dark days...even with the curtains/blinds open! We don't have those beautiful birds here but occasionally I see a Magpie with the pretty blue and white. Enjoy your week.
