    1. That sunset last night wasn't pink...it was red! Gorgeous! It was a very quick trip outside to snap that, though...Brr!

  2. Colours and composition are gorgeous. I have not been out in two days. Wayyyyyyyyy too cold today. I thought yesterday was cold - ha! They've issued an extreme cold alert here. Yup - I knew that already!

    1. The boys have been home the last two days, so I haven't been anywhere except on the front porch and out to the feeders. Yes, it is terribly cold...my fingers hurt inside my gloves in just five minutes!

    2. I bought some cute mitts this winter made with heavy wool outside and heavy felt inside. They are sort of like talking puppet heads. Too funny. I figure if you have to endure winter you might as well make it fun. I also wear the lovely mitts you made for the shop... but during this deep freeze I need my "hand puppets!" Hee hee.

    3. You can never have too many mitts! Ha.

  3. The sunsets are so great and the moonlight is so great all night with the snow reflecting it. It is strange how it is so cold and windy and yet these things are still going on.

  5. Fantastic shot! You get better every day with that camera. The scene would make a great header for this time of the year.

    1. It would make a good header! I really wish, for the sunsets, that I lived out on a farm where there was a vast horizon and nothing to block the view! I never take sunrise shots...I don't see the sunrise from my house! Trees and houses are in the way on that side!

  6. Brilliant shot again Betsy. That fire just gives us a glimmer of hope amidst a freezing environment . . . .:)
I'd much rather see that snow than be in it _~ I would be an abominable snowman in no time . . . . lol
I think your photography is so could you could very well be a published artist . . . . :)

    1. Eddie - Betsy IS a published artist. Haven't you seen the calendars? They are too good to throw out at the end of the year!

  8. Is it too late for coffee?
I wouldn't want to be up all night just staring at the ceiling.
Maybe I'll come back for a cup in the morning.

      Me? No, I'd rather not!
Give me some socks and a cup of tea!
Maybe on the bed throw an extra blankie!

  15. I'm having computer issues, so if you see this 20 times, please ignore! We had a beautiful sunset like this the other night too and the cold got the better of me. I wish I had taken a photograph, each sunset is a gift!
