Ooooooooooooo - tasty! So pretty.
Cut out cookies are indeed a labor of love. haha. But I kept the decorating very simple to streamline the process. And I was so good..I only sampled one! haha.
One cluster yesterday and one cookie today? Wow. You do have willpower!
I know! haha...I think it helps that I'm making goodies for a party. I can't gobble them all down myself....I can do that with the leftovers. lol!
NOOOOO SNOWWWWWW....... it's probably heading your way next week! In the meantime, keep on baking them cookies!!!
Silly...I wanted snow up here....it would do me no good for it to snow on you! haha. The house smells wonderful! :)
We had a ton of snow yesterday - I posted some photos on FB. It was beautiful, especially in the German Christmas Market area of the Distillery. Like a postcard.
I love that beautiful kind of snow! We had that one last month and then it warmed up enough to green up the grass! haha. Now that it's cold again, we need some clouds! The frost on the ground was pretty, but not the same. :)
My oh my . . . . . I've just commented on the nutcracker and hey presto we have another culinary delight . . . . . gosh folks, Betsy is in overdrive . . . lolLooks great . . . . the sort of snow I like . . . hope you are not flaked out after all that . . . . lol . . . .:)
I'm full of coffee and Advil and working through my list like a good little elf. haha.
I actually got round to writing some Christmas Cards tonight now little Peter is gone . . . . so quiet without him.Yes you are on a roll there my good little elf . . . . . :)
I made cocktail meatballs, too! yum.
Oooo - I love those. Did you do them in the slow cooker?
No...just on the stove. They are Taylor's favorite. I only make them at Christmas...so good! And I did have more than one of those! haha.
Hey girls ~ save some for little ole me .. . . . :)
You've added another reason for me to get in the Christmas spirit! Love those cookies! And also, your header picture - the only thing missing in it, is me! :)
I know...I love that scene! I wish I could transport myself into one of those sleighs! So lovely! I can almost hear the bells on the horses!
You made the beautiful cookies, we had the clouds. Rained last night, and a gorgeous sky this afternoon.
Trade you snow clouds for cookies! ha.
Hi Betsy......What kind of cookies ?Great job with the icing!Cheers ,Linda :o)
Sugar cookies with a little almond extract in them. Yum.
Thought they might be shortbread.....Recipe?
Here's the link...first time trying it for me. Really nice dough but make sure you chill it well or it gets sticky.http://www.williams-sonoma.com/recipe/christmas-cookies.html
We had eight days of gloom and rain, then yesterday and today we FINALLY saw some sunshine! I'll take sun (warm or cold, it doesn't matter) any day.
It's hard to complain about the sun, really. And the sky was beautiful!
I've been baking and cooking today. cheesey scones, French bread (baguettes), I made some sourdough starter too. You iced snowflakes look great, how do you think up these things? How about making some gingerbread men and dressing the up with colored icing to look like Santas?
I have your cheesy scone recipe! :)I haven't made gingerbread men in years! I do have the cookie cutter. Actually, I collect cookie cutters. You wouldn't believe how big my collection is! Those snowflake cookies with the frosting are as big as your hand! ha. Just one would make a meal. :)
You know I love your roll pin!
I have that some rolling pin! I got mine in Italy when we lived there. I love it. I also have that same white snowflake cookie cutter. Your dough looks perfect! And beautiful cookies!
I got that rolling pin for a wedding gift! One of the few wedding gifts I still have!
haha now that is my kind of snowNot in the road and becoming a driving foeAt worst case may get a little gasBut that shall pass haha
This kind of snow everyone likesit isn't cold and it doesn't bite.haha.
No sunshine here today, but no snow either. (And I'm happy about that) :)Your cookies are pretty!
You have snow on the ground...sunshine on that and you almost need sunglasses on inside the house! haha.
Hi Betsy, Such beautiful cookies! We woke to 20 degrees this a.m. but it warmed up to 60. I thought of you today. I noticed a cat wearing a collar trying desperately to get in a neighbor's front door. I called the cat to our porch and fed her and gave her water. I drove her to my vet and she was chipped. They were able to track down her owner and they came and picked her up. Sent their heartfelt thanks to me! I don't mind telling you I shed a few tears for her!!!
Oh! So glad that story has a happy ending...and SO sweet of you to even take the time. I would have cried, too....I'm sure the owners are so grateful!
Pretty cookies- no snow here..just the misty showers. Hoping for sunshine tomorrow so I can finish shopping. Cookie night coming up next week with the grands so I will be baking for two days to get ready. I like your snow!
Hope it doesn't rain on you! I'm sure it will be crowded out there!
They are so pretty! I visited a friend a few days ago. They live about 30 miles away. They had snow and we didn't' this time.
Was she baking snow flake cookies? Ha.
I have ALWAYS been partial to your snowflake cookie cutter!
I'm serving coffee! Stay and chat! And no awards, please! Your comments are my awards!
