I spent the day in the kitchen making some yummy things.
As I worked I had Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Ballet
blasting through the kitchen! ha.
Not only did I have sugar plums dancing in my head,
I had Sugar Plum fairies twirling around the room! ha.
And even though all the men were gone for the day,
I did have some sweet furry company!
Chocolate Peanut Clusters recipe is HERE.
♥
What on earth is that in the first pic?
ReplyDeleteIt's a block of white chocolate.
DeleteOh, I thought it was a vintage floor tile. Silly me. *
Delete. . . . . has that green bowl got my name on it? If so, handle it with great care. *
DeleteYour name is taped to the bottom of it. :)
DeleteI do handle it with great care! Especially since I found out what they sell for on ebay! ha. But it isn't enjoyed shut in the cupboard, so it shall be used. ha.
Hey - those kitties look like their own version of chocolate peanut clusters! They are exactly the right shades - ha!
ReplyDeleteThey look so cosy all huddled on the mat.
Love your birdy plate and those clusters look delish!.
They do coordinate, don't they! ha.
DeleteThey look so pretty on that dish. I'm with Keith - love that bowl!
ReplyDeleteI don't think Keith will give it up....he's hoping I kick the bucket soon so he can have it. ha.
DeleteOh they look yummy.....good job ,
ReplyDeleteCheers ,
Linda :o)
I make these every year...a very nice treat to give away. These are going home with our party guests Sunday night!

DeleteI know...my invitation is in the mail......
The Mister's office staff and their spouses! :)
DeleteAwwww, what lovely furry family for keeping company. Thanks for this recipe. I have been looking for some yummies to give to company for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI hope you like them....pretty easy and we love them!
DeleteI love the plate!!
ReplyDeleteAnd love these kitty faces!
And white chocolate look amazing!:)
The plate is from the auctions, of course. :)
DeleteYes I think that and is beautiful!
DeleteThe cats look like they're expecting a sample.
ReplyDeletehaha...nope! I didn't even offer a taste!
DeleteThey all look to be quite content
ReplyDeleteSure sounds like time well spent
The furnace vent blows on that rug
DeleteSitting there is warm and snug!
So that is why
DeleteThey pile high
Isn't it great when you have a day to yourself? Even if it's "working" in the kitchen, it's still fun for some reason. If you're like me, it's because it's such a rare occurrence, and we don't get many of them! Don't you just love this time of year?
ReplyDeleteHome alone...my favorite kind of day! And you know I like working in the kitchen!
DeleteThose are some sweet friends.
ReplyDeleteYes, such good company I have around here. They're very attentive as you can see. :)
DeleteYumm....and I love your company. That almost looks like Figgy, Love your bowl too.
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing on your blog....similar kitty markings. Aw.
DeleteWait, is that little Grey with the two other kitties?
ReplyDeleteLaurie
Aw, no...that's her brother Charcoal. :(
DeleteAdorable ~~ your furry company and that darling bird plate and the green bowl too.
ReplyDeleteAs for the peanut clusters ~~ yum and thank you for sharing your recipe.
Well, thanks...it's so nice to have you here! I hope you try the clusters...yum.
Deleteha. and cute company at that...smiles....
ReplyDeleteoy, i need to lay off the holiday chocolate though...
smiles.
Bet if it was peppermint bark you wouldn't be able to resist though, right? ha.
DeleteBetsy you make my mouth water. Yummy!
ReplyDeleteAnd would you believe I was SO good, and only ate one! So hard to do. lol....
DeleteHi Betsy, This candy looks so tasty! I love your furry supervisors, too. Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to have company in the kitchen. :)
DeleteYou must get that feeling that eyes are upon you all the time at your house. Of course, not in a creepy way. :-) Lynne in NC
ReplyDeleteYes, some critter is always under foot! And if I'm cooking a little crowd gathers. ha.
DeleteI love how your cats, though all different colors, possess a family resemblance.
ReplyDeleteDon't you wish people could embrace the varied colors of our race rather than allowing the differences to cause divisions?
I think we could learn a lot from the animal kingdom in that regard.
We could learn a lot from animals, I think! :)
DeleteCharcoal and Cinder were in different litters from the same mom, Velvet. And Marmalade and Charcoal had different moms but the same dad!
I love these cat pictures!
ReplyDeleteSomeone is always posing around here. ha.
DeleteNow I'm craving sweets, for a change. Love white chocolate.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that about you! Well, maybe I did...if you count Zero bars. :)
DeleteLove that music . . . . . did you do a pirouette as you were mixing the ingredients ~ I could have come to help you with a pas de deux but then people would think we were a couple of nut crackers . . . .lol
ReplyDeleteLooks scrumptious and my you have been a busy bee . .. . . :)
Of course I did a pirouette! ha. ( made sure nobody was looking first)
DeleteYou're a delightfully, dangerous woman! Who will eat the clusters? :)
ReplyDeleteYour kitties are SO cute!
Delightfully dangerous...lol....love that!
DeleteWow! Talk about pressure. Just look at those critics. I think they look delicious, though.
ReplyDeleteThey were hoping for meat...lol...
DeleteA day in the kitchen - a gift of love . . .
