- Garden Girl with a visitor.
- Chicken, kale and ranch pizzas.
- My favorite lip gloss since high school. Lots more varieties now and a six pack lets me have one in every coat, purse and drawer. ha.
- A piece of ironstone from the auction. And for only $5, I was the only one that wanted it! It even has birds on the inside. Love.
- Setting sun.
- Jack, lounging with the squash.
- Robin, glad the snow is gone.
♥
Hi Betsy, Georgia is so dreary and rainy today. I have enjoyed these photos tonight. Jack and the robin are my favorites. Like you, I have lip balm in every pocket, every drawer! That little dish is gorgeous. Pizza would have been tasty tonight with this weather we are experiencing. Love the little bird and the setting sun, too. Have a nice evening and a very good Thanksgiving week. Mildred
ReplyDeleteWe had a bit of sun and then the clouds and rain rolled in again! The pizza was very yummy...I just throw on there what's in the frig so it's a good use-up-the-leftovers kind of meal.
DeleteWhere did all the snow go? I hope it's not on it's way to us! Jack looks a bit apprehensive, and lo, in the background I can see that rolling pin I covert. Really spiffing pics as usual, I don't know how you do it. . . . .
ReplyDeleteThe snow washed away in some warm rains. I think Jack is expecting me to make him get off the counter. haha.
DeleteYep, there's that rolling pin! Maybe Jack is expecting you to reach through the screen and nab it!
He looks as if he is daring me to do just that. Then he would rip my arm off!
Deleteyes, his claws are quite sharp....believe me, I know. ha.
DeleteLove the randomness.
ReplyDeletePizza does sound good.
Guess I need to find a new job of some kind...
Hi, Jack!
A new job?
DeleteBabysitting hasn't been very lucrative lately...
DeleteDon't want to sell the pies?
DeleteWell,... I'm not sure I can make that many pies every week.
DeleteI have a dish, like that piece of ironstone, that my mom bought in England so very many years ago. Bonne Bell Lipsmacker in Dr. Pepper flavor used to be my favorite :)
ReplyDeleteDo you? It's my first piece of black transferware...I just love it!
DeleteI have a Dr Pepper one! One of my favorites. I layer it over lipstick.
I see the sun in a few shots - love that!
ReplyDeleteI have to wonder at those attendees at some auctions. Great buy!
I wonder at them, too! They spend a lot of money...just not on the things I usually want! haha.
DeleteI guess that's good for me!
I see your Robin.....and I will take one of those pizzas, please!
ReplyDeleteLove the transfer ware....
I love those lip smackers too! And...like you.....have them in every darn pocket♥️
Raining here...
Cheers!
Linda :o)
The pizza was wonderful. I use garlic Naan bread for the crust...so quick and easy!
DeleteAren't those lip smackers nice? Probably the only makeup left from my teenage years. haha. I like it under or over lipstick, too.
Jack knows how to relax indeed
ReplyDeleteI'm with the robin at your feed
Glad there is no snow
But that you know
A bit of warmth after the snow!
Deleteand the sun really put on a show!
All gone now
as it's raining sheep and cows.
(that's harder than cats and dogs, fyi). lol....
lol might hurt more too
DeleteCould add two more animals to your zoo
Always I find Jack lovely;)
ReplyDeleteYes, I know you do. Some days I would like to send him to you! haha.
DeleteBut he can settle down and be sweet at times. :)
Im sure you would miss him!
DeleteHappens me with Ares sometimes is terrible he eatd all he find and one time a cream cheese omy!
I used to use Lip Smackers, but over the years I've switched to whatever lip balm's on sale when I need to stock up.
ReplyDeleteI love them too much to switch....they seem reasonably priced and last a long time...I get them at Walmart.
DeleteI've never used lip smackers...I think I should give them a try. Love all your pictures.
ReplyDeleteI bet you'd like them...they keep my lipstick from drying out my lips..and they are nice to wear alone when you don't want to look too made up. I even use the clear shades on my boys. ha.
DeleteBad-boy Jack looks handsome against the yellow. I looooooove that beautiful ironstone. I WANT IT. I know... you're probably not plopping it in the shop... but if you see any more... :-)
ReplyDeleteI use garlic naan as the crust for my pizzas sometimes too - love it and so easy.
I need to get some lip smackers. I use Vaseline at night but keep forgetting to bring some out here in the living room and my lips are painfully dry since this cold weather started. But the last couple days have been so mild and tomorrow it will be 12C (54F) - can you believe it?
Love the birdie shots too.
yep...buy a 6 pack of them and have one everywhere! ha.
DeleteWe were in the mid 50's this weekend, too...but I hear it's supposed to cool off again soon. It was so warm today that I had the kitchen window open a bit!
Your pictures are always amazing, Betsy. I love the idea of using a crock for holding your rolling pins. I have a great love of all things rolling pins, but I've always kept them in drawers...wishing for a rolling pin rack...but I like your idea of using a crock much better.
ReplyDeleteIf you put your rolling pins in a crock, I want to see them! :)
DeleteDianna - The rolling pin with the cookie molds on it has got my name on it, when I can persuade Betsy to sell it. . . . . . .just saying.
DeleteI particularly liked No 7 - and No 1 is a stunner! No milk or sugar in the coffee - thank you...
ReplyDeleteI think I like 1 and 7 best, too! One black coffee coming up! :)
DeleteHi Betsy - the ironstone dish looks lovely ... and I love seeing the mixed bag of photos .. life lived to the full ... now I'm hungry! Happy week and pre-Thanksgiving preparations ... I'd quite like to borrow Jack?! But I suspect a trip too far ... Cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteI'd let you borrow Jack....not have...but borrow. lol....
DeleteLovely bits and pieces! xx
ReplyDeletea little of this and a little of that. :)
DeleteStrawberry Lipsmackers! For some reason I'm not surprised by that at all. And since high school too!! Makes a fellow think about strawberries!
ReplyDeletelol...and thanks for not asking how many fellows tasted it back then. ha.
DeleteBrave little bird with that gargoyle not far away . . .
ReplyDeleteI could polish off a couple of those pizzas .. . . . they look sinfully delicious.
Lucky Lip Smackers being on your lips . . . lol
Nice auction bargain ~ you get some interesting things for sure . .
Love the sky shot . . . . . :)
I think the gargoyle is her pet! A nice guard dog, so to speak! ha.
DeleteGarden Girl clearly loves her visitor.
ReplyDeleteI'd never seen a bird land on her before...I think they thought she was real! haha.
DeleteThose pizzas sound really good. The ironstone piece is a treasure. It has such a great historic value with great decoration and shape of the container. Good job snatching that away from no one. They must have been sleeping.
ReplyDeleteThose bidders are always interesting. Sometimes things go for astronomical amounts and other times the stuff can't be given away.
DeleteI have a weakness for ironstone and was prepared to pay much more. When nobody bid against me I couldn't believe it!
Kale chicken and ranch? What an odd, yet genius invention !!
ReplyDeleteP.s. I love how you have a jar filled with dough rollers. Very cute!
yes...chicken, kale, ranch on a garlic crust....so yum! I want one right now! ha.
DeleteBonnie Bell Lip Smackers! That's what I use all the time too, I always have 3 going at once; my purse, bedside table, and living room chair! I only like the Lemonade flavor and because it's harder to find, Kevin always orders me a 12 PACK at Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a Lemonade one!
DeleteSometimes I see it at Target, it's usually in a 3 pack.
DeleteI meant to say a 3 pack with 2 other flavors and the Lemonade.
DeleteGreat shots. Hope Garden Girl's visitor didn't leave any souvenirs...
ReplyDeleteThat ironstone is GORGEOUS! Oh my! And for 5 bucks? I think I want your job ;)
