  2. Just noticed the birds' wings - so beautifully fanned out. Great capture! Do the boys have new jackets? They look very cosy.

    1. Those starlings flew in and swarmed the crab apples! So fun to watch! The boys got those coats last year....my little Eskimos! ha.

    2. Ah yes - I seem to remember you posting about them getting new ones last year. I need something like that to keep me warm... wind was ferocious last night and more snow today. Still not really sticking though. I want LOTS! But I am in the minority. I like your "brinner" - sounds delicious!

  3. And I know I would feel better after mac & cheese - is this a random act of kindness? How lovely.

Okay... I will stop commenting now... ha!

  5. You and I both made peanut butter cookies today! And...just as I suspected...you have a generous heart...evidenced by that mac and cheese casserole being sent off to someone who isn't feeling well. AND...you still take fab pics! Love the one of the bird peeking through the snow.

  6. HI Betsy...
Great shots of the Robin and Marmalade...
You got more snow than us...but right now we are in a blizzard!
That storm from Buffalo...moved north and is pounding southern Ontario!
Will be a winter wonderland for sure in the morning!
2 of my kids are stuck on the highway in bumper to bumper traffic....GEESH!
Is it you that loves winter so much??? hahaha!
    Rotisserie chicken tonight....YAY!
    Enjoy your evening...
    Cheers!

  9. I'm sure I've seen that first picture before . . . hmmm.

I don't know what a Mac & Cheese is, looks good though: recipe please? Poor Marmalade, lots of birds to chase, but the snow is too deep for him to go out. When Dinky is looking out the window and sees the birds she makes little growing noises in frustration because she can't get at them.

I'll share the recipe sometime. :)

  10. Your china is happy like Bethany's china. Cookies, pie, cake, coffee... It all looks so cheery on bright colored plates and in happy mugs.
Love the photo of the boys headed out for the day.

  11. What a linebacker neck on that kitty! I believe I see a few teeny tiny pieces out of his ears, which must have occurred before he came to you. Poor poor frozen robin. Do your boys notice the snow much? Lynne in NC

    1. He just got those nicks in his ears! Must have been during roof top surveillance duty and had to fight off an intruder! Yes, Marmalade has stocky feet and a big neck...he's heavy, too!

  13. Wow...the boys are so tall now!
Love the shots looking out your windows. You inspired me. Today I moved my desk in front of the big windows in the bedroom. Now I can enjoy the view while sitting at my desk.

    1. They have grown! I've especially noticed it in Harry. Maybe it was their last growth spurt, being 21. Still not nearly as tall as Taylor, though!

    2. How fun that you moved your desk! Keep your camera there handy! :)

  14. Whenever I see the boys march out I wonder if they walk out of the house in the same order . . .
Also the song from Snow White slightly modified springs to mind, "Hi Ho! Hi Ho! i's too the bus we go . . . :) Nice selection of photos . . . :)

    1. Yes, they usually are in the same order! It's not a hard and fast rule, but it's usually the same....Spencer almost always leads the way. :)

    1. Thank you...he isn't sick, but has chapped lips and licked them every few seconds until they were so terrible...almost a crisis kind of thing. I kept him home so I could slather him with Chapstick every few minutes. He's much better today but didn't want to send him today and have him undo all the progress we made. Another day at home with mom should do it. :). Two days ago he looked like a clown...or the Joker. Lol....oh my.

  22. I had to look twice but I did see the birds flying by in the bottom shot. I am sure that cat likes to see that kind of action. You boys going off to work, school, is a great photo. Baking and making at this time of the year in the kitchen is great. A new kitchen to boot is a great place to be. Great photos.
