Fallish Things

  1. Colorful leaves.
  2. Slippers.
  3. Ginger Cookies.
  4. Cookie Jars in peach and purple.
  5. Golden patches.
  6. Low afternoon sunshine.
  7. Brilliant berries.
  8. Mustache cups.
I don't really know what mustache cups have to do with fall,
but I suppose if you were to drink hot chocolate with a big dollop
of whipped cream on top, the mustache lip would prevent getting
your face all messy. lol....  Cups are in my shop, if you're interested.

When I was a little girl my great, great grandfather's mustache cup
was kept safe in an old cabinet with glass doors in the dining room
of my grandparents house.  I always asked my uncles to lift me up
so I could see Palestine Hanna's portrait...with the serious face
(as was accustom in those days for photographs) with the huge
bushy white mustache and the fancy china cup sitting beside it.

Cookie recipe here if you are interested.

  2. Oops - one gargoyle - darn auto-correct. I see my cookie jar! Looks so great. Can't wait to add cookies to it. I was looking at the moustache cups - love that little squat one. And saw another silver pitcher in the shop too. Great items, Betsy. The robin looks like he is singing a song... or inhaling a berry! Ha!

  4. You always share the best photos. I looked for some warm slippers at the mall today. Yours are cute! Are your cats like mine? When I purchase a new pair of shoes, they stop in their tracks and stare....like, where did those come from??

  7. So your baking in your new kitchen....how fun. I got a good idea with your cookies in the milk glass, as I have all of Don's moms on display in my hutch. Think I'll put cookies in one. Made another batch of pumpkin cranberry scones from Trader Joe Mix, but added some white choc. chips this time. Turned out real nice. Loved all your fall pictures.
