Working the Weekend

We were hard workers here this weekend!
"Bot" helped, too!  I'm loving the new floors and haven't
missed carpet for one second!  The biggest change is that
our rabbit's fur (he sheds worse than any dog or cat) rolls
like tumble weeds across the floor.  I've had Bot out
every day to take care of it.  So far, so good!

We're no longer eating on the little card table!

And we've put the drawer pulls on!
(More on these later....aren't they pretty?)
We still have a few things to happen...counter tops come
on Friday.  Then next week will be all the finishing touches
like lighting, back splash, sink, faucet, etc.

I gave my desk a fresh coat of paint and got it back in it's nook!
Today I brought in a few plants for the season.
We'll have to see how this pot of geraniums does.
I trimmed, watered, and cleaned up the pots.
And topped them all off with some fresh potting soil.
They had been neglected since the reno started!

It was lovely here today...warm and sunny!
Felt great to have the windows open!
If it stays like this we'll have to call it Indian Summer!

    1. Thankfully, Ikea sells a template for attaching the handles. Made it very easy and well worth $1.99. :)

I haven't sat at my desk yet! Just toooo busy. Soon, though! Can't wait!

    1. "S"????? No way! It's a little early even for this winter loving girl! I was looking at old photos of last fall and noticed we had snow mid November, though,...only 3 weeks away!

You would love bot....certainly worth the money. Maybe Santa will get you one. :)

  9. it all looks wonderful, I never knew a rabbit would shed as much as a cat, our rabbit was an outdoor rabbit, good to know!

    1. Yes, he's awful! Our cats only shed in the spring, really. Right now they are getting their winter coats in and don't much at all. But Nugget just sheds all year round. Who knew!? At least he lets me brush him.

  10. Your kitchen is absolutely gorgeous! Just like a magazine picture.

If I ever have all wood floors (or even laminate) I', going to fine me a bot too. Does yours have a name?

    1. Bot does great on carpet, too....He self adjusts to the height of carpet to floors. I let him go all over the house. We just call him Bot. His proper name is iRobot. ...we weren't very original with that name. But my parakeets are Mr. Bird and Mrs. Bird. lol....

      Delete
    2. Bot is a perfectly splendid name, as are Mr. and Mrs. Bird, and iRobot is quite nice as well.
He well adjusted, you say... Hmm. perhaps I shall have to find out whether or not he has a brother.

    2. Hey now there's an idea! I think while I'm at it I'll look for a 'drying hay' scent as well! lol two things they haven't duplicated yet.

  23. It's looking great, Betsy. I borrowed one of those bots once.. just to see if it would work well at my (old) place. One cat was afraid of it. One cat tried to ride it. The dog tried to attack/eat/kill it.
