That greedy Cardinal has eaten half a jar of birdseed, and now has the cheek to guard the rest to keep for himself! I don't know how you put up with behaviour like that Betsy !
You got them all in All the activities needed at one's bin I'd have to hide that last one though Orlin would eat the crap out of the string at our show
Lovely thoughts and photos. I guess no birdies will bathe with that tongue a-lappin'. And doesn't Mr. Cardinal look like he is ready for his close-up. Flirty thing!
You are such a master with that camera. Love all the pictures today. Looks like the bird feeder is half empty...wasn't it full last picture?? Somebody has been hungry. Your bread looks wonderful, and you cats are always a pleasure to see. I would love to get a new camera, (my little Cannon Power Shot is held together with tape. ) but I think I will opt for a lap top since my desk top crashed. If I get one in Oregon...no tax... :)
You should really do a commercial cat calendar Betsy. Especially love the birdbath big drink one. Trying to help a good friend and neighbor process the diagnosis of terminal cancer for one of her cats. I'm hoping she will have the courage to do what's best for Oscar and not let him linger too long in a hopeless situation. I went to the vet's office with her the other day, and they have a beautiful feline office manager named Sassy, who also serves as greeter.Lynne in NC
I did sell a cat calendar in my shop last year and it did very well! I want to do a bird one this year, but have quite a few good cat photos, too, so I just might branch out and do two kinds. Shadow in the birdbath was my favorite, too!
So sorry about your friend's kitty. I hope she does have the courage to let him go. Prolonging the inevitable is actually more painful...believe me, I know, from one of my first cats. I had a vet that played on my emotions and got me to try all kinds of treatments that cost a ton of money and Teddy died anyway...on my birthday of all things. If the vet had just said "It's time to let him go" weeks before, I would have done it! Lesson learned...but always so hard.
Sassy sounds like a cutie...love that name. I bet she's a great greeter!
Super set of photos ~ like the first one especially . . . Great shot of the cardinal and as Keith said he has more than half emptied the feeder ~ no wonder he is puffed out . . . That baking looks delicious . . Sleep . . . that's an idea after a day with baby Peter , , , ,he is very lively . . . Shine ~ beautiful shot . . lol . . .Slate getting all tangled up . . . . . . :)

ReplyDeleteBirdies flee when there's a kitty! haha.
DeleteThe babies have gone off to feed themselves so Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal are happily resting and snacking...it's like they're on vacation! haha.
That is a great routine :)

ReplyDeleteThanks, dear. :)
DeleteThose are really great photos! I think the value of a really good camera shows up in these shots.
ReplyDeleteHope your arthritis isn't going to be a constant pain for you.

DeleteMy cats like to drink out of the bird bath, too :)
ReplyDeleteNo Grey today?
They come running when I fill it up. ..silly things. ha.
DeleteNo Grey. So sad.
All wonderful pics but I especially love that first one. Only cats can be goofy and delicate at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI love the first one, too...everything about it. ...color, light, subject. ..might have to go in my 2015 calendar. :)
DeleteAll great, but bake gets my top pick. Yum.
ReplyDeleteThat was the best pumpkin bread! Yum.
DeleteHubby called and he's bring pumpkins home tonight. Cannot wait. So excited.
DeleteHave Spooktacular Day & Happy Halloween!
