Driving on the right side of the road is wrong. Driving on the left side is right here, unless you are in the USA. then you are right not to drive on the left. Same thing applies to cats.
Hi Betsy. Love Slate's flag (tail). He's featured so often in your blog. I especially know to look for him when you post a miscellaneous message. He certainly has the look of someone who owns the place. ;-) Lynne in NC
We've commented before that it is always easy to spot Slate while he's out and about because that tail is always upright and bushy! haha. He wags it like a dog, too!
I love your "this and that" photos. Sleeping kitty has the cutest pink nose! I love the dish the cookies are in. Crisp and coffee would be good this afternoon. GA is finally experiencing cooler weather! Have a good evening, Betsy.
Those birdie tweets look real treats and thanks for one of the crisps . . . . yum Funny to see the cats patrolling . . . .like a sort of sentry duty. . . . . :)
rofl . . . . I was meaning chocolate chips of course, must get to SpecSavers!! . . . . . I thought birdie tweets was a funny name for them . . . . lol . . . . . I'll look at them tomorrow . . . nite :)
Those cups are so pretty - they are tempting me! Too cute with Samantha's crossed paws - so content. Cold here, real fall days but it is supposed to warm up quite a bit at the end of the week. Every prediction about winter I have seen is that it is going to be long and cold like last year. Hunkering down times! I love the sentry bunny overseeing the kitties. And yummmmmmmm to the crisps! xx
That's Grey sleeping, actually. Isn't she sweet? I think you and I were the only ones that enjoyed winter last year! haha. I wasn't even weary of it near the end. Every snow was beautiful to me. Although, I did freeze my butt off at some outside auctions! lol....
I've had that bunny so long it's now considered vintage! haha. I bought it new decades ago when the front porch goose was popular back in the 80's. haha.
Ack - I was going to guess Grey first! Laughing. So Samantha is with Slate in the in-and-out pick? I sometimes get the grey furbabies confused. Yup - I was gleefully saying to someone the other day that we were getting the same winter again. I was met with a stony glare - ha!
HI Betsy. Getting use to Don's laptop. Still using the mouse...not good with just my fingers. I love all your pictures, and that kitty sleeping is so precious. Those crisps look so good. The count down is on for Martha's visit. Making cookies in the morning, and some scones so we can sit and chat face to face....Wish you were coming too.
I went outside to pick some cherry tomatoes to add to last night's dinner. The cool weather's slowed down the ripening process--all I could find was two. Although lots of green ones remain.
Yes, I'm afraid that is how it will be here, too. We may have to have a batch of fried green tomatoes and call it done. My garden didn't really do as well as previous years. We had plenty of rain and sun but I didn't have an abundance of veggies.
Hi Betsy! so glad you're back! :) LOVE those cups- I collect those particular teacups. They are just so cheery and lighthearted. Those cookies look so good- great idea to have them all lined up in that delightful dish! Almost too welcoming . . . ;) Your annuals still looks so fresh and happy. Mine are d.e.a.d.- the sun has won! We have been in the upper eighties to mid nineties for weeks now . . . I can't remember having such a hot September. And dry! I am really ready for some good, crisp fall weather so I can be baking again!
My hanging flowers didn't fair so well but this pot is under the shade of the porch so it survived better. We have western sun on the front of the house which makes it almost impossible to keep flowers alive on that side of the house! I hope cooler weather comes your way soon...and some rain! We're grey and chilly today!
Nice, very nice.
ReplyDeleteShall I bring the coffee over now or later?
Now! ha. It's chilly enough to even drink it in the afternoon!
DeleteI know. I think I could just sit under a blanket and drink cup after cup!
DeleteI'm cozy in my socks and sweater today! haha. I'm sure we'll get some warm weather, though...we always get this tease, don't we?
DeleteComing and going? It's like New York Station on a busy day. Where do they all go?
ReplyDeleteMartha - One one spoon of sugar in mine please.
DeleteAnd notice that they are American kitties....going on the right side of the road! haha.
DeleteThey go out and patrol their neighborhood territory, of course! And it's always fun to sleep under a shrub and stretch in the sun.
You got it, Keith!

DeleteWouldn't want a cat collision! That would be a cat-astrpohe!

ReplyDeleteIsn't that sweet? It's an old McCoy planter. I had to have it from the auction. :)
