    1. Nugget has been sleeping at my feet under my kitchen desk lately...a new spot for him. It's a win-win as I get to bury my toes in his fur and he gets a little petting, too. haha.

Maybe even sing a song. Ha.
      There was a karaoke machine
At the auction, to make some sing.
      I wouldn't want that display
Set up at my bay. Ha.

    2. I've always enjoyed their little apple pies and a neighbor told me she tried their new peaches/cream pie. It was even better than the apple. I'm in trouble now!

  10. OK... is your car windshield really that clean?
I don't know anyone who has a windshield that clean!
Very impressed because mine still has dead bugs from my trip. They'll probably be on there for a few more weeks,

    1. Actually, it really is that clean! haha. The Mister has a pet peeve...he doesn't like dirty cars! He washes our vehicles inside and out every weekend. I guess we all have a little OCD here. lol....

  11. Oh, thank you for this little trip - lovely. I can't believe how deep that basket is - must have been a great leap to get in! Nugget looks so very, very soft. I can imagine it's delightful to bury your toes in his fur. And that last shot. Breathtaking. I could lose myself in that. You are such a great photographer! No captions needed. xx

    1. I took that basket down off the top of the china cabinet to make room for that group of cloches and it sat on the dining room table for a few days. The cats loved it and every time I looked down in it, a different cat was in there taking a nap!

Isn't that last photo pretty? I loved the field that merges into a corn field and then a grove of trees. Perfect weather for photos, too. I don't think we've seen the sun much since, though! haha.

    1. It's hard to get a good photo of Nugget....dark bunny on dark carpet....so, it's nice when he's on something light with good natural light hitting him, too! :)

  13. Betsy, how in the world do you get anything done with all the adorable critters you are surrounded by? I feel so guilty, because I can tell that you do accomplish many things. I have only myself to take care of, but some days I am totally lazy. My only excuse is that when no one relies upon you, it is easier to get away with being a couch potato. Lynne in NC

    1. I think you said it perfectly in your last line there.....if I lived alone, I imagine I'd be much more lazy. Well, and if I gave up coffee I'd run at a much slower speed, too. haha. I found a baby kitten all alone near the auction building yesterday and the lady in the lunch truck said she'd feed/watch him for me until I could take him home at the end of the day. But a rather pushy woman, also a cat lover, came to the auction and insisted that she would take him no matter what the poor lunch truck lady said. She encouraged her to come talk to me since I had already claimed the kitten, but she wouldn't and just took him away! Aww....almost had another. He was tiny, very young and adorable. I was upset all day about it. Sure he was going to a good home, but the way it was handled hurt my feelings! I felt like she stole him from me. :(

    2. Reading between the lines I had a feeling something was wrong. As I said earlier you should have a rest because I thought you were tired.

But don't worry, I know someone who's cat has just had six kittens. When they are ready I will send them to you. How about that ! Aren't I good?

    3. Gosh, you're good! I keep saying I need a shrink. You want the job? :)

    4. I would love it! From over three thousand miles away I picked up the vibes! That should qualify me.

    5. I guess so! I'm quite impressed! But I'm warning you, getting inside my head might be scary! ha.

    6. Just read about it Betsy - had no idea about this and so sorry the woman took the kitten.
Well done Keith - we have to look after Betsy . . . she is really special . . .:)

    7. wish I could give you a hug and take the sadness away . . . :)

    8. Aw, Betsy. You had already fallen in love with the little waif. The lunch lady was probably afraid of the woman. At least I think you can rest assured that it will be well taken care of, since she was so adamant about wanting him, but I would be upset, too, about being done that way. Maybe Rocky will come back. Males can disappear for long periods of time. If he returns and you could grab him to be taken for neutering, that would probably keep him in your vicinity from now on. Lynne in NC

    9. Yes, at least the kitten has a home...that's the most important thing. So, it wasn't that I was worried about the kitten...just offended by that woman. I know who she is, too, so I'll have to look at her at every auction and wonder how my little guy is doing. lol....Good grief.
Yes, Rocky...or Freckles...gosh I loved that little girl who just helped herself in through the cat flap and jumped in bed with us while we slept! haha....what a ball of personality. I can't believe she didn't come back!
