Your captions always crack me up Betsy. Love the "I smell bird." I now have a pet of sorts. A small dark greened frog showed up in and on my fountain a few days ago. His breast stroke is hysterical. He stays so motionless out of the water that he looks like a statue. I guess he's faking out the insects. Lynne in NC
What a great set of photo of Sam and loved the way you worked in the speech bubbles. I remember hearing that song as a kid, yonks ago, was it a Burl Ives song I wonder? And the innocent way he answered your question at the end . . . . . lol . . . :)
She must be exhausted! Love this strip of photos and captions - too cute! Except for some white bits - which you can't really see until she rolls over - she blends so well with the tree. Cat camouflage. Isn't Samantha also the one who washes everyone else? She's a dear.
She does have quite a bit of taupe color mixed in with her grey. Yes, she's the sweet sister that runs to greet anyone that comes in the house and washes their face! So cute.
Yes - I wondered about that. I am noticing in the tree shots she looks grey but in the inside shots at the end you see more of the taupe which blends her again to the background. She is a chameleon! I have been reading this strip over and over - love it!
Conversation I heard once between one of my neighbours and her little girl. "Mummy, I want a likkle kitten" Mum: "I don't know where to get one dear, they don't grow on trees you know" Kid: "Yes the do, I saw one in a tree on the telly, and some firemen were picking it!" True!
Congrats on the POTW award! Love your cat-antics. How do you put those balloons on your pics? I only do captions (you can check out my blog if you like). Now I'm curious and need to figure out how to make those cartoon balloons. What fun!!
I love how you put words in a cat's mouth. I bet you're pretty close to the truth here. :) Also, I hope your kitty can get herself out of the tree without help.
Cats are so fun to watch, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteWhy yes, they are! :)
DeleteOh, I'm glad I didn't miss Samantha's Day. She is really pretty, those EYES!
ReplyDeleteShe's a pretty girl, isn't she? Her eyes aren't as round as some of the others...kind of almond shaped and so green!

My boys loved that song...in fact, if I sang it now they would probably love it. haha.
DeleteSing it to me . . . . . :) . . . . lol
DeleteBet you sing it real nice.
You want me to sing to you and that's the song you choose? lol....
DeleteOh yes I think I could select another I might prefer.
DeleteEr can I choose anything? . . . . lol
You can choose whatever you want!
DeleteDoesn't mean I'll agree to sing it, though! ha.
What about a nice Whitney Houston song.
DeleteCould you manage the high notes in, "I will always love you" ?
she - another typo
ReplyDeleteToo cute. I love the story you wove around her day.
ReplyDeleteWhen I looked at the photos, I just had to make a story! ha.
DeleteWhat a gorgeous face♥️
ReplyDeleteRaining there?
Cheers!
Linda :o)
It wants to! We're supposed to get thunderstorms later this afternoon. This morning it was dark enough to be night time!
Deleteha. if only the jedi mind tricks worked on the birds....smiles.
ReplyDeletecome to me...
fun stuff...our cat is turning snuggly again after a season of wanting his independence...
We have snuggly ones and independent ones. The snuggly ones can practically smother you demanding attention and the others I'm working on. haha.
DeleteSam didn't get a bird, but boy her brother Shadow sure gets them!
Adorable and I smiled all the way through this delightful post, thanks Betsy.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Denise.....Sam made it very easy to do!

DeleteYour captions fit her expressions perfectly! Great photos, Betsy.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mildred. :)
DeleteBetsy, you crack me up sometimes! Priceless.
ReplyDeleteGlad to put a smile on your face...that was the whole idea! :)
DeleteToo funny- that last shot..those eyes! I imagine we would be shocked if we knew what goes on in a cat's mind.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to know what they are really thinking!
Deletehaha birdie come to play?
ReplyDeleteDidn't show that part at your bay?
No gift was brought?
Funny as the last she looks like "oh, I got caught?"
If she caught something I didn't see.
DeleteNo gift was brought to me!

ReplyDeleteI love my dogs but always find funny look the cats:))
They do have a lot of personality!
DeleteYes they are something special:)
DeleteI LOVE IT!!!
ReplyDeleteSo much fun to put together!
DeleteOh I love the "comic cat" strip. Those were purrrrfect captions.
ReplyDeleteI almost deleted most of those and then thought they might tell a cute story. :)
DeleteCute cats!
ReplyDeleteJust one...take a closer look! ha.
DeleteThe world would be a sadder place without cats.
ReplyDelete:0)
much sadder!
DeleteShe's a beauty!
ReplyDeleteIsn't she? She has the tiniest little voice and is so sweet. :)
