    1. She's a pretty girl, isn't she? Her eyes aren't as round as some of the others...kind of almond shaped and so green!

  3. Your captions always crack me up Betsy. Love the "I smell bird." I now have a pet of sorts. A small dark greened frog showed up in and on my fountain a few days ago. His breast stroke is hysterical. He stays so motionless out of the water that he looks like a statue. I guess he's faking out the insects. Lynne in NC

  4. What a great set of photo of Sam and loved the way you worked in the speech bubbles.
I remember hearing that song as a kid, yonks ago, was it a Burl Ives song I wonder?
    And the innocent way he answered your question at the end . . . . . lol . . . :)

    4. Oh yes I think I could select another I might prefer.
      Er can I choose anything? . . . . lol

Doesn't mean I'll agree to sing it, though! ha.

Could you manage the high notes in, "I will always love you" ?

    1. We have snuggly ones and independent ones. The snuggly ones can practically smother you demanding attention and the others I'm working on. haha.

Sam didn't get a bird, but boy her brother Shadow sure gets them!

  9. She must be exhausted! Love this strip of photos and captions - too cute! Except for some white bits - which you can't really see until she rolls over - she blends so well with the tree. Cat camouflage. Isn't Samantha also the one who washes everyone else? She's a dear.

    1. She does have quite a bit of taupe color mixed in with her grey. Yes, she's the sweet sister that runs to greet anyone that comes in the house and washes their face! So cute.

    2. Yes - I wondered about that. I am noticing in the tree shots she looks grey but in the inside shots at the end you see more of the taupe which blends her again to the background. She is a chameleon! I have been reading this strip over and over - love it!

  14. Conversation I heard once between one of my neighbours and her little girl. "Mummy, I want a likkle kitten" Mum: "I don't know where to get one dear, they don't grow on trees you know" Kid: "Yes the do, I saw one in a tree on the telly, and some firemen were picking it!" True!

Did Sam grow in the tree?

  19. Congrats on the POTW award! Love your cat-antics. How do you put those balloons on your pics? I only do captions (you can check out my blog if you like). Now I'm curious and need to figure out how to make those cartoon balloons. What fun!!
