One of my most favorite friends, Keith, sent the boys a
package! Spencer always checks the mail and looks for
his name. This one was extra fun because it
came from Great Britain!
It was a nice train magazine!
A few hours later I peeked into the boys' bedroom and
found Spencer flipping through the pages!
Isn't this the cutest picture?
They all took turns looking.
Thanks, Keith!

DeleteWell he shouldn't be mean to you and welcome back after the cottage!!
DeleteBut I thought he was a very kind old curmudgeon tiday wasn't he? . . . . lol
Here I am!
DeleteCurmudgeon. Just the sound of that word makes me laugh!
What a fabulous word! . . . . lol
DeleteOh I am so grateful for learning such extraordinary words here now and then! Curmudgeon I've certainly never seen before. Is it especially American? Old fashioned?
DeleteHello Christel - tonight was the first time I met the word, courtesy of LInda
DeleteJust looked it up
Curmudgeon means a bad-tempered or surly person.
A little hard of Linda do you not think . . . Keith is not quite that bad!!! . . . .lol

DeleteYou were funny and so was the word.
DeleteHad you said it to me, there would have been no problem whatsoever!! . . .
Amazing! And they look absolutely happy. I know they love trains!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet Keith sent this to the kids!
It was very sweet and they loved it!
DeleteThis kind gesture is what makes this world go around! We need more of it too!! Way to go Keith!! And Betsy, I know you loved it as much as the boys---just because it made them so happy. See???? It's those "little things" that mean the most.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree! It made me happy too...it really is the little things!
DeleteWell here's a little hug! . . . :)
DeletePuts a big smile on my face - and the boys look so sweet... and grown!
ReplyDeleteI know...I was thinking the same thing....all grown up.
DeleteWhat a lovely thing to do! And how fun for the boys to get something like that in the mail! :)
ReplyDeleteIt was so fun watching them open it! They were so excited!
DeleteGreat gift indeed for them at your feed
ReplyDeleteWho knows where each new page will lead
Could be working on the railroad
As that song goes into high mode
There is usually a song coming from their room
Deleteas they let the volume boom!
What a nice surprise for the boys!
ReplyDeleteIt really was....and I enjoyed watching them, too! That last picture is my favorite....he sneaked off to be alone and look through it. So sweet.
DeleteHow very kind of Keith.
ReplyDeleteWell done, mate . . . you are the the King of Hearts" :)
the King of Hearts? Oh, that is so cute. ha. I think he'll love that name and make us call him that all the time!
DeleteBut I am the Ace of Hearts so tell him not to get too carried away because I can always trump hin . . . . lol
DeleteOff to bed . . . :)
And here I thought you were the Joker, Ed! :)
DeleteEddie - You too can be a Curmi . . . Cuermad . . . Curmgeun . . . a grumpy old git like me if you try hard enough, but you are too much a kind hearted soul to succeed.
DeleteI am a joker too . . . but I've always been the leader of the pack . . . . lol
Delete. . . and Keith you are so nice these days I can scared believe it - have you started a new course of vitamins and why have you not commented on my blog recently - do you think there is an outbreak of MRSA here? . . . . . lol
Aw, how nice!
ReplyDeletePretty sweet, huh!
DeleteVery thoughtful. It's nice to get something special in the mail. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, it is! Surprises are the best!
DeleteThat is so sweet! An unexpected gift is the best. I love the pictures!
ReplyDeleteI think so, too! Surprises are just so much fun!
DeleteWhat a special RAK...the look on the faces say it all. And that last picture. I just melt looking at it. I don't know Keith..but I think I like him no matter what Linda says. HaHa
ReplyDeleteI just melted, too, when I peeked in their room and saw him like that. Had to run and get my camera. He just poured over each page!

DeleteSorry about the deletion above. I meant to say it's nice that the my friends in Bloggyland like me, cos I don't !
DeleteMaybe I'm thick, but what does RAK mean? I hate all these abbreviations on the net, because I don't understand half of them, IHT !
Oh Betsy is asleep, as usual . . . but I can answer that question RAK = Random Act Of Kindness
DeleteAh, well Eddie beat Wanda to the answer, but he's right. And now you know, Keith! :)
Deletesmiles.
ReplyDeletevery cool keith.
i imagine the boys will get hours of fun from that.
Yes, and it's really cute...they put it away with their favorite train books like it's really something special!
DeleteBetsy...this just makes me smile. Your boys look so happy and identical! Ha! What a nice thing your friend did and yes, your pictures are a wonderful testament to how your guys can get immersed in what they truly love. :)
ReplyDeleteJane xx
And those two aren't the identical ones! Ha. Unbelievable, huh!
DeleteSuch a thoughtful gesture and the photos are so sweet.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I caught it on camera!
DeleteOk , Keith, what I really want to know is how to say curmudgeon in French!
ReplyDeleteIt IS a French word, but the English stole it! A "Nice old gentleman" is "un beau vieux gentilhomme" I know that because everybody in the village in France calls me that.
DeleteLinda has got a lot to answer for; "curmudgeon" indeed!
Get out of that!
DeleteNa-na-nun-e-nah!
Na-na-nun-e-nah!.....is that French, too?
