Remember this series I used to do?
Except I photographed all of my doings for the day.
I started working auctions on Wednesdays and the series
just didn't fit any longer! Well, I happened to think of it
today and at least recorded what I did, even if
not all by photographs.
So, here's what I did on this lovely day at home...
- Painted my 10 toenails a bright, happy red.
- Made yummy Cornbread Salad with 9 tasty layers.
- Photographed 8 more items to go in the shop.
- Watered 7 pots of flowers.
- Vacuumed 6 rooms.
- Did 5 loads of laundry.
- Picked 4 cups of strawberries.
- Packaged up 3 Etsy sales.
- Cleaned 2 bathrooms.
- Made 1 big pan of chocolate chip bar cookies.
Did you have a nice day?
T & L come for dinner...always a highlight to our week!
♥
Sounds lovely and productive:)
ReplyDeleteLet's see, laundry, some cleaning, flower dead heading, some weeding.
Its overcast and misty but it felt nice to be outside anyway :)
I need to do a little flower dead heading myself! :) And more rain is coming to you tomorrow!
DeleteYep most of the week look to be 'relaxing'. :)
DeleteWell, good for you! Those are the best kind of weeks. I had two stressful days this week and today was supposed to be gone and I rearranged my schedule so I could relax and be at home. I'm so glad I did!
DeleteGood for you! :)
DeleteWow- you've been busy. Cute photos. Another sign of summer days ahead is to paint up our toe-nails. :) I see your friend has tucked his away so I guess we'll have to wait to admire them.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Cocoa would have been thrilled if I'd tried to give him red claws. haha.
DeleteI made two hand-painted birthday cards using watercolors, and I managed to letter them without making too much of mess, then posted them to my aged cousins Sally, in Adelaide, and the other one to Janet, in Montreal. They are twins but married over 40 years ago and separated.
ReplyDeleteHow very nice! I hope you took photos of them before sending them out! That is really something for twins to separate like that!
DeleteI bet they love your custom made cards!
Aw you win me!:)
ReplyDeleteI clean the bedrooms and the bathrooms but not much more
A two laundries not more because
Here is raining!
And is so cold
Im reading lots of old magazines lol
Love your nails!
Oh, I love to look at old magazines! How fun!
DeleteYes in my bed looking old magazines lol
DeleteSounds very cozy! Too bad you can't "pin" the pictures you like! haha.
DeleteHahA that's true:))
DeleteI think that now every time I look at a magazine!
DeleteI love these wednesday series:)
ReplyDeleteDo you remember them? It's been over a year!
DeleteYeah ! BTW one of my favorites:)
DeleteIt was one of my favorites, too! Next week I have an auction, though, so it will have to wait!
Deletehey did you know your blog has commercials?
ReplyDeleteha i got redirected to an adserver....
i interviewed 3 teacher candidates...
played lego superheroes with my boys...
played with actual legos...
and now i am avoiding the rain as we
wait to see if coles baseball game is cancelled.
Seriously? Ugh...I hate blogger sometimes! No, I didn't know that...or approve it!
DeleteLegos were really big here when Taylor was that age...endless fun!
Cute little red piggies!! And what a busy day you had!! But actually, that's probably a "typical" day for you, I imagine.
ReplyDeleteI actually enjoyed today! I don't mind housework...I putter at my own pace and enjoy the solitude! It was actually kind of relaxing!
DeleteHey, my garden is sprouting! It looks like yours did two months ago, but hey..this is Ohio! haha.
Like the feet and toes! . . . . and the colour.
ReplyDeleteThey must danced you all over the place doing all those tasks.
I think we should call you Ms Dynamo.
Your work rate and sheer number of tasks you do put me to shame, but there again I am only a man!.
I was gardening all morning helping a friend
Then I did some dusting and vacuuming and then outside to do some of my garden.
Plus a bit of blogging and writing. :)
As a matter of fact, I did do a bit of dancing today! :)
DeleteOh that sound interesting! Didn't know you danced!
DeleteWhas the music nice?
haha...well, only in private ...yes the music was nice...if you like the oldies.
DeleteYou seem to . . . trouble is I always get those old tunes mixed up! :)
DeleteWell, sometimes it is hard to choose the right one, that is true.
DeleteYes . . . I'd almost forgotten what it was like the old fashioned way they wrote things,
Deletenot quite the same today sadly :)
Cute red toes! And hopefully Cocoa didn't rub or nuzzle them before they were dry! What a busy day you had. I was on the phone for several hours with Revenue Canada (our IRS) to try and get a few things sorted and just ended up more confused. Now I am heading out to the post office and drug store to run some errands, then laundry tonight!
ReplyDeleteUgh....I hate that kind of phone work. You must be exhausted!
DeleteIt's frustrating. Several times during the call I am at the point where I think everything is understood and then he/she will say something that makes me think, "What? Have you just heard what I have said?" Fortunately I had a very nice woman yesterday but there were still more questions than answers. I have to phone back today. Sigh. I did get all the other errands done though... but not laundry!
DeleteNice toes! Looks much like my Wednesday, except I had to chauffeur the daughter around a bit.
ReplyDeleteWell, enjoy that a little while longer...before you know it, she'll just be asking for the car keys! ha.
DeleteYikes! I got tired just reading the list.
ReplyDeletelol....no, no...this was a slow day! ha.
DeleteThis is a good post. I doubt I could come up with the same numbers, but I did have a more productive day than some recent ones.
ReplyDeleteWe're having a nice rain now and I am satisfied that at least the grass around the house has been mowed.
:0)
We had rain today, too...and this evening it's cool and the humidity is gone!
DeleteHi Betsy- Love this post 'cause I'm nosy and love to hear how other people spend their days ;)
ReplyDeleteLet's see . . . today I added three more stones to the garden path I'm constructing by hand; I did dishes, laundry and ironed two dresses and an apron; I read a chapter for my book group tonight, got the salmon marinating for dinner, let my cats in and out about a hundred times and the Oldest and I just hauled a HUGE old bookshelf upstairs to it's new home in my bedroom! Now on to dinner and afterwards my book group!
Nice day! You were busy! No cat flap for you? Once we installed one, I don't know how we lived without it!
DeleteThe big bookshelf sounds amazing! Pictures! Pictures! :)
No, we don't have a cat flap for two reasons . . . 1. My cats are too stupid to use it (we installed one in the garage years ago and gave up after a week of tempting them through with treats and such) and 2. My house is very old and I just don't have a good spot in the house where it wouldn't ruin the old woodwork/doors . . . and so, my fur-bosses get the royal treatment much to my chagrin ;)
ReplyDeleteYes- I'll try to get some pictures taken when I can. I'm very excited, but now having to arrange my entire house due to it!
We didn't let the flaps down for almost 2 weeks! Then one flap came down and they had such trouble...more than I thought they would. But within another 2 weeks they got it. Ours is in the wall...not a door.
DeleteYou don't need all the pics...we can imagine (and be exhausted just reading!). I'm glad to hear someone else does their own pedi's. I used to go for them but heck...it's expensive!! The cornbread salad sounds outstanding...do you think you might share it in an upcoming post?
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
I have posted the recipe, Jane...just put the title in the search box at the top. It's SO good...one of our favorites.
DeleteI love professional pedi's ...so very fun...but they are a treat and I usually do my own....yes, free is good. ha.
Where is the partridge in a pear tree?
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, the cat ate it at your sea lol
Always busy on the go
Such cookies I always ate at my show
Before this crap
I got stabbed and took a nap lol
Sorry you got stabbed
Deletebut if it makes you better, then I'm glad. ha.
I think I need a pear tree and a partridge
outside my little cottage!
haha may have to fence it in
DeleteWith all the cats ready to attack at your bin
They do lie in wait!
DeleteTo get a bird, they don't hesitate!
You are a busy lady!
ReplyDeleteI had to drive my husband to an appt. in Atlanta today, so we were on the road for many hours.
Tomorrow, I will catch up on laundry/cooking!
Well, I hope you had lovely weather to drive in! Tomorrow will be a nice day to stay home and catch up. That was my day today...I thoroughly enjoyed it1
DeleteWow! You accomplished a ton! I was stuck at home all day. We were supposed to have our septic tanks pumped. They couldn't give me a time, so I had to stay here and wait. They never came - had an emergency they said. :( I was not happy, but I got a lot done here. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, don't you hate that? But you're right...those kinds of days can be really productive....if you don't keep looking out the window for them! ha.
DeleteSounds like a busy but nice day! It is good to be at home getting things done isn't it! xx
ReplyDeleteYes...my most favorite kind of day! I get things done and it heals my mind. ha.
DeleteHi Betsy - well you certainly use your time effectively .. and what an added extra that T and L came over for dinner - puts a little extra dollop of cream on the top ..
ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous here today - so later on I'm going to see the sea and have a walk along our cracking Downs and a cup of tea at the new geology centre to show how much the sea has worn away the land! Happy days to you too .. cheers Hilary
Well, that sounds delightful...you will have such a nice time! We have the English rain and you have our sun! What's up with that?
DeleteI hope you put those ten toes up for a rest, after all that!
ReplyDeleteOK...I am LAUGHING! I just figured out who you are! I hope the agent part wasn't secret agent or you'd have to kill me for cracking the code! haha. Nice to see you, Martin. :)
DeleteNice countdown. :) I was expecting #1 to be something about a partridge in a pear tree.
ReplyDeleteYou, and Pat, too!
