Since this was officially the first week of summer,
I celebrated by changing my foyer table and
chalk board to a summer time theme.
The scale and fan I bid on at the auctions.
The little chair, soda bottle, black lamp, mini planter
and vintage flag were in the auction trash!
The shells and old books are part of my collections.
The butterfly jar is something new!
It's battery operated and if you tap on the lid, the butterfly
flits around and spreads it's wings.
It is very realistic!
I bought it at Big Lots.
Now we're ready for three months of summer!
♥
Could I be first?
ReplyDeleteMaybe
Depends on how much I write here.
Love the Summer theme. I remember the fan you bought at auction.
I all goes very well together. You have been busy. :)
Crumbs I am first!
DeleteWhy yes, you are!
DeleteCrumbs! haha...I love that expression. We don't say that here.
The word seems to amuse quite a few of you!!
DeleteReminds me of the silly joke we heard when kids:
Q. What did the man say when the sreamroller ran over his sandwhiches?
A. Crumbs
lol
Fascinated about that butterfly
DeleteI think that steamroller joke was the first you ever told me years ago! :)
DeleteThe butterfly is pretty neat...I walked by it today and it started flying about!
The fireflies just came out here! I love this, Betsy. It's an idea I hope to copy one of these months!
ReplyDeleteI saw fire flies just this week, too! I need to learn how to photograph them!
DeleteVintage Nostalgic. That’s what I call it! Beautiful display, Betsy. You have such a keen eye.
ReplyDeleteThat's perfect! Old is just better!
DeleteI love your chalk board is lovely O grow up with chalk board Im thinking in buy one to my kitchen when I have to bake:)
ReplyDeleteLove the butterfly on the jar beautiful!!
You are ready for summer and here for winter lol
I do love my chalkboard! It's chalkboard paint...in a spray can! You can make a chalkboard out of anything for your kitchen!
DeleteYes, and you could draw snowflakes on yours! haha.
DeleteOr maybe draw an umbrella and water drops lol
DeleteOh yes! And mountains with snow! You know Espe would draw for you all the time!
DeleteOh yes but dont tell her, she will make only she wants:)
Deletehaha...yes, that is true!
DeleteOooh, how summery you made your table. Your butterfly jar from Big Lots is so neat. I bet someone would think you actually caught a butterfly.
ReplyDeleteThat butterfly even sounds real with it's sings hitting the jar. It's almost creepy but fun, too. haha.
DeleteVery nice :-) Do you think you'll be able to keep it as is until summer officially ends in September? Once things start cooling off I'm ready to start thinking fall.
ReplyDeleteI think so. I tend to go with the official dates and think of fall as beginning on September 21st...my birthday! It's still hot enough in September to feel like summer to me. Although, I know I'm in the minority and most people think of fall as starting in August. lol...but it's still in the 90's then and very summery in my opinion.
DeleteAll vintage at your sea
ReplyDeleteShowing the age of thee lmao
That butterfly jar looks cool
Many a people you could fool
Getting older every day!
DeleteOh, the dismay!
Bugs in a jar that look real
Tricking people is such a fun deal!
I love it all, Betsy. Wish you were here to put a summer look in my entry!
ReplyDeleteHope your week goes well.

Deleteha. i almost bought one of those butterfly jars
ReplyDeleteat a yard sale...they are cool...and def loving some bare feet

I think bare feet is my favorite part of summer!
DeleteA lot of things I don't like about it, though...like mosquitoes. ha.
Very nice...
ReplyDeleteA good little selection of things....
Bare feet rule!

Linda :o)
They do rule! And no wedge flip flops! Bleh! haha.

ReplyDeleteI bet they will be on clearance after July 4th. :)
