  2. How old do you think that you have to be though! Actually, how old do you have to be to give them up in the first place....... xx

    1. I think we just have to decide to make it happen. We all have time...if we make it...easier said than done, though. It's so easy to get through the day without even looking up! ha.

  8. I still read and re-read them. My favourite fairy tales are King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, and the Tales of Robin Hood and his Merry Men.

    3. Sorry to dis-illusion you Eddie, but all grown up sane, normal people know that those are just fairy tales created by the poor down trodden peasants and serfs, rather like your good self, in the in the Dark Ages when they were ill treated by the lords of the land. It gave the a little comfort during the cold winter nights.

It's the same for our friends in the Colonies. They created Superman to give them the feeling that there was somebody out there looking out for them. In about 500 years people will read about this Superman and believed that he was real. I was discussing this with Santa Claus in McDonald's only last week!

    7. Sorry about that, but the power went off. No electricity! So I had to finish it off in total darkness and that's why it's so dark, not invisible, and I was telling you such wonderful long fairy tale (like now?). If you switch the lights on you should be able to read the rest of my comment.

    8. Did you know that I really have got fairies at the bottom of my garden? Their names are Crispin and Rupert, and they live in a a rather ramshackle house (similar to mine) which backs onto my garden. Just saying. . .

    9. Do Crispin and Rupert ride on Dinky's back around town?

Speaking of fairies, I found the most beautiful old book on Pinterest last night that had a fairy riding on the back of an owl on the cover.
      Maybe it was Crispin! ha.

  10. I think the excitement of this new chapter in our lives, have made me dream again and think of all the new adventures we will have for the rest of our lives. I have loved CS Lewis for years, and read a Triology fantasy he wrote years ago... I can't even remember the names of them but they took me to a far place beyond reality...I need to google them and put them on my reading list after the move.
The Church and quote of his...marvelous. I love it too.

  11. Oh my, I just googled CS Lewis , Space Trilogy: Out of the Silent Planet; Perelandra; That Hideous Strength. Would you believe the hard copies go for $1,200.00, and paper backs start at $19.99. I had the paper backs years ago and loaned them to someone...wish I had them back. If I had a Kendall I could probably down load them. I'll check the Library.

    2. The CC&R's were as long as the Application process. Lot's of rules...but none I can't live with. I knew they wouldn't allow bird feeders, but I thought a hummingbird feeder would be OK..Not!! nothing hanging in the balcony. I can however have my small plants. I will take my little white table and hinged picket fence for one corner. and I have a metal holder of three plants and that can be on the balcony with 2 chairs and a small table... Yes, coffee and reading.. Also I can read by the pool....oh what a hard life I looking at!!!!! HaHa

    3. I guess there's no hanging a load of undies from the wash on the balcony either. Sigh. So strict! hahahaha....
