    1. It was with my old camera. My new camera is making me feel very....dumb. haha.

    2. I feel pretty dumb right now, spent hours trying to fiddle with my blog today - it has taken me ages just to rearrange the order of things in my sidebar. You will get the hang of it I'm sure, but it is hard getting to grips with new tech isn't it! xx

    3. Do you know anything about DSLR cameras? Maybe we could trade brains for an hour. I'll do your sidebar and you do my camera. haha

    4. Sorry, no. I use my tiny pocket automatic. That is hard enough for me!! The sidebar will have to be for now! I did finally manage to change my header though! Good luck with it, I am sure that you will figure it out, it takes time! xx

  3. Moon river wider, than a mile
    I'm crossing you in style
    some day Oh dream, maker
    you, heart breaker
    Wherever you're goin'
    I'm, goin' your way!

  5. What a great shot
    As the moon is caught
    Inviting morning to you
Until the sun is in view

    1. The man in the moon
      singing a tune.
      Couldn't sleep.
      Should have counted sheep!

    2. Made of cheese
      if you please.
      The cow jumped over
      followed by rover.

    3. If made of cheese
      I will get a trapeze
And swing close to meet it
      And greedily eat it
      For I really love cheese
The more it will me please
      There must be a mouse
      In our satellite's house
For there are lots of holes
Which are not made by moles.
      I'll avoid the cow
      But I don't know how.
But just what is that Rover
Not heard of him jumping over

    4. Swiss cheese made the holes!
      Not mice or any moles.
      Rover came from another rhyme
to chase the cat with fiddle so fine.
      What can I say?
      The poet is tired.
Her humor is here but her brain is mired.
      hahaha.....

    5. hahahaha!
      I'm brain dead! lol
      So goodnight!

    6. Wow look at you go
Cheese and a rover at your show
Add a spoon and some candle stick
Then all can have their pick
      A cheese stick
      Could do the trick
      Just pull it back
      And watch the cow attack
      Flying over the moon
With rover following like a loon

  6. Fantastic!
I got the same shot in February while in Florida....
Such a beautiful thing the moon is...perhaps we should go there! Hahaha!
I am going to have a peek in the morning....what direction? East?
    Cheers!
    Linda :o)

  7. Your second shot is so moving, Betsy, and inspired me to write this little piece:

Like a soft and candescent sphere of marble,
Gently suspended as if on nothing
You faithfully return when our sun glides over our horizon
And then you accompany the stars in a symphony of light
Directing your moonbeams on all nocturnal creation
Until a new day dawns and you retire once more.
Your appearance, although in many shapes and forms,
always, when permitted, glows against our darkened sky.
Yet your face is always looking our way
As if you are watching and caring for us.
But tonight we see you in your most glorious form
You look majestic. What secrets have you?

    1. That is just wonderful! You highlighted all the things I love about the moon....it almost seems alive, able to see us, and cares for us. Aw.

    1. Thanks. Is this my silver fox? Not as much detail as a nighttime moon, but not too bad, I guess.

    2. Yes, it's your Silver Fox! Gloria is right once again!

  11. I've never see a moon like that here. Maybe it's the "smog" or "haze". But your shots are beautiful.

    1. It might be. I've noticed the photos come out clearer if we don't have any humidity..or it's so cold it's ice instead of in the air. ha.

  12. Maybe it's just me but I always see the shape of a dinosaur with it's mouth open made out of craters. Am I crazy?

  13. I was just taking pics of that moon this morning too! :)

  14. As a youngster, I was always fascinated when the moon showed up during the day.

  17. Hey, I remembered! It was your auction today wasn't it? Hope it was not too muddy!

    1. Horribly muddy. haha. I've never seen anything like it. Worst auction I've ever worked. We were outside. Freezing cold rain blowing sideways with 30 mph winds! 6" deep mud all over...people got their shoes stuck in it...several fell into the mud....miserably cold and wet. We didn't loose our sense of humor, though. But I'm glad the day is done. The Jeep really did look like I'd been 4 wheeling in the jungle!

    2. So you didn't look all 'glammed up' in all that quagmire!!!
Was your not so secret admirer there or was he a bit of a stick in the mud LOL?
Fancy falling over into that mess - reminds me of my old rugby days - great fun.
Well guess you've got a job on cleaning up the jeep and your wellies.

    3. I did not spend a lot of time fussing with my hair, no. haha.
My no so secret admirer was not there. He only comes if there is silver to buy. This was tractors, scrap metal and car parts.
The Mister washed my jeep for me tonight. He does hate a dirty car! haha. The wellies are still in the garage...will have to clean those up myself, I suppose! ha.
