Well, I guess we can all say that March really did
come in like a lion! Our barometer agreed that we would
have snow and very cold weather and that we did!
And that means that March will go out like a lamb.
Even I will be ready for spring by then! ha.
I work an auction Tuesday.
We'll be on site, so it will be cold!
We've already been told to wear layers.
I think I'll have some Hot Hands stuck in my boots!
This morning it was 1F degree (-17C) and
tomorrow is supposed to be the same! Brr!
♥
What kind of barometer is that? Mine just has a boring dial like a clock!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm so pleased to see the photo and quote I sent you on your sidebar. It just suits you so well!
Stay warm tomorrow! Take extra Hot Hands for your admirer gentleman. (smiles)
Goodnight, Sunshine. I ready for the Land of Nod.
Vincent xo
It's called an Admiral Fitzroy Storm Glass. Those big flakes mean snow!
DeleteAnd thank you...you can call me Sunshine anytime. ha.
Extra hot hands...yes, that is for sure!
Brrr!
ReplyDeleteToo cold for me - bad enough here!! lol
I've been told the Maldives are quite nice right now!!
I am sure the Maldives aren't having our weather right now...or ever. haha. Let's go!
DeleteOK . . . . . you're on! lol
DeleteDon't tell your not so secret admirer! He might get jealous ROFL.
I've been busy transferring music from LPs to Audio CDs. The Magic Flute by Mozart. Know it? It is in German and I don't understand that but I have the libretto in German and English so I have been writing up the story - very involved and fascinating.
Keeps me out of trouble - for a while lol
Hope to post something soon - that Mickey story I told you about.
haha...mums the word. :)
DeleteOf course I know the Magic Flute...lovely! Sounds like a fun project!
looking forward to the story of Mickey. :) He's going to have his own series before long!
oh it roared in here as well...snow and ice...had to drive an hour through it today
ReplyDeletemy dad had a major heart attack this morning...coded and they had to shock him
3 times to get him back...put a stint in...been a long day...and waiting....
What? Aw, I'm sorry. And here I was imagining you sleeping late and having a snow ball fight. Glad he's ok...and you, too. Keep me posted, alright?
DeleteDinner sounds wonderful♥️
ReplyDeleteSooooo glad we missed the snow!
Enjoy the auction......stay warm!
Cheers!
Linda :o)
we both had asparagus! ha.
DeleteDid you know that if you say 'asparagus' into a tape recorder and play it backwards the word 'cigarette' is heard and if you say 'cigarette' into a tape recorder and play it backwards you hear . . . . . . yes . . . . . 'asparagus' lol
DeleteFull of very 'useful' knowledge aren't I? lol
lol...no, I never knew that .....etteragic. Ha! That's hilarious.
DeleteAh I see . . . . . but from an audible viewpoint it has apparently to be asparagus.
DeletePoor Linda will think I'm nuts if she doesn't know it already!
Oh yeah...it sounds just like it! How did you know that, anyway?
DeleteDo you know Jim Suldog at http://jimsuldog.blogspot.co.uk/
DeleteA rather eccentric blogging buddy.
He can be quite hilarious but sometimes a bit outrageous but likeable,
He used to be a recording engineer and now writes for a Boston newspaper.
I learned it from him about 2 years ago.
I have never been to his blog, but the name looks a little familiar. Maybe I've seen him on your blog. Well, it's a fun little bit of trivia, anyway. Very fun!
DeleteYes....Eddie Bluelights....I already knew! Hahaha!
DeleteYes Betsy.....asparagus is a great deal right now...plan on having A LOT!
Oh Linda, at first I thought you knew already about cigarettes and asparagus - but I see what you really mean is you already knew I am nuts lol. How disappointing LOL
Deleteha!
DeleteBetsy, you may have heard of Suldog (Jim) through me or John-Michael. He and John-Michael were close. Small world, this blog world! I enjoy Jim's writing very much.
DeleteYou may be right! It's been quiet a while since I've seen the name...
DeleteWe are out of firewood. Sad, but true. Guess it's time to start burning the furniture.
ReplyDeleteUh oh! Do you have an axe? ha.
DeleteHeard today as people chatted about
ReplyDeleteThat Ecuador is a great place to retire and twist and shout
Maybe we all need to go there
Much warmer at their lair
Was only -10 here today
Got us beat at your bay
Who knew Ohio could be so cold!
DeleteWith my arthritis, it's making me feel old!
Find that fountain of youth
and we can live in Ecuador where the waves are smooth.
Could have a bloggers condo
that would be hilarious, you know.
hahaha that would be grand
DeleteA condo for blog land
And yeah the cold does suck
When ones body gets as stiff as a puck
It came in rather gently here. We'll see what the month holds!
ReplyDeleteI love your barometer. I think some extra hot hands are definitely in order.
We didn't get all the fury we were supposed to, either. Only 3 inches instead of 13.
DeleteBut it sure is cold! Yep...I've already laid out the hot hands so I don't forget them!
ho ho ho got to love snow ho ho ho
ReplyDeleteAshburn, Virginia is where you live.
DeleteNot the North Pole? What gives?
ha.
I covet that barometer. Looks big enough to have its own zip code!
ReplyDeletehaha...oh, it's not. Must be the camera angle. It's about 8" tall.
DeleteHA! With all the nasty weather I forgot the calendar turned over to March.
ReplyDeleteTime flies when you're having fun!
DeleteHear me roar, eh? I would much much rather have it come in like a lion than go out like one! Spring will be very welcome here this year!!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of a cool barometer like that.
I got it for the mister for Christmas. So far, it's been very accurate! Yeah, I don't mind winter now....but I'll want spring when April arrives!
DeleteI have a thick stack of seed packets. I think it's time to rev up the action in the greenhouse :)
DeleteOh, I know you're just itching to get busy with that! ha.
DeleteI am truly looking forward to the arrival of the lamb. :-)
ReplyDeleteWon't be long now I'm sure! Although I do remember an ice storm once in April....just once. ha.
DeleteAh Betsy Im sure the spring will come soon to your land:)
ReplyDeleteHere is cold but a sunshine day I love the fresh air on the beach:)
Im worry and praying by Brian's dad!
yeah...me, too!
DeleteEnjoy the beach...sounds so fun!
Thanks dear:)
DeleteI am at The Shoppe today obviously NOT at auction. I think maybe I got the better end of the deal TEMPERATURE-wise! Hope I didn't miss anything TOO good!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm already home. We were inside but it was chilly. Good auction...nice stuff and the prices were going so low! Got a few nice things...bids and trash. ha. Missed you!
