Ah, I love their expressions! I suppose dear Betsy that you agree with old Robert and are still enjoying your snow. Looks like your blue birds might have had enough! Ha-ha! Superb photography as usual! Thank you, dear lady for the smiles!
Yeah we've been home since around 4:30. The beginning part of the journey was a bit scary but I put myself in the back seat and buried my head in a book. No one enjoys hearing me gasp. Haha, snow covered expressways are just not my cup of tea! The last few hours were just rain. Thankfully no ice!!
Oh, I am mighty jealous of your beautiful birds! Not that ours aren't lovely in their own way, but they are all nothing but brown! Brown upon all the other brown. Kinda . . . dull I suppose. (though my cats would argue that point)
Most of ours are brown, too. I suppose that's why we love our jays and cardinals so much..they just glow outside against the neutral colors of everything!
"Whose woods are these? I think I know, his house is in the village though..." One of my mom's favorite poets that Robert Frost. I think he mist have been a wise man.
We are at -33C (-27F) tonight. Sigh. But we had a fresh blanket of snow last night and it was brilliantly sunny today so everything was gleaming! I was at a girlfriend's for our monthly Gulp n' Gab with other girl pals and her backyard was glowing and sparkling with all the white. So pretty.
Yup - your birdies look like, "Enough is enough!" I don't blame them as they have to be right out in it. Mind you, I guess that's what they're "built" for or we would not see them at all!
Looks like you have some more new things in the shop... I will have to go and peek!
The boys have already had 'school' cancelled for tomorrow so we'll just stay in and enjoy being hermits. ha. This weekend was so relaxing. We didn't leave the house!
Well, I with Robert because I say, "You can't get too much summer in summer!" lol Has Robert Frost got a famous relative called Jack, who also likes the cold? lol
Your bird photos are always beautiful and I love when you give them captions. A bird calendar might be in order like the cat calendar you did for 2014.
So cute.
ReplyDeleteOur snow looks like rain today.
The snow melted in most places around here but we still have snow in the back yard.
Well, I'm glad this snow storm missed you! :)

DeleteHa too funny! Winter in winter is a good thing. Winter in Spring however is a different story altogether. Hoping that doesn't happen this year!
ReplyDeleteThe storm keeps being downgraded here. I'm hoping the kids won't have another snow day!
We didn't get as much as was expected...only about 3 inches over a little ice. But more is to happen overnight, so the boys could be home tomorrow!
DeleteAre you home already?

DeletePoor darlings! Even the most refined poetry wouldn't console me either in their condition! And I really do like Frost (Robert)!
ReplyDeleteChristel
Yes, I don't think Robert was thinking of the poor outdoor creatures when he wrote that! :)
