We're perfectly centered in the path of the upcoming
snow and ice storm that is forecasted for Saturday through
Monday! As long as the power doesn't go off, I'm fine with
a little more winter weather! It will give me some time to
get a few more things done on my Winter Fun To Do List!
I haven't baked bread or had a new flavor of hot
chocolate yet! I still need to do my snowflake post
and made suet! I put snow in the freezer weeks ago
but haven't made that snow ice cream!
Three more weeks until the Spring Fun To Do List starts!
I better get busy with my winter fun! ha.
♥

DeleteA hot chocolate woul be cozy today!
DeleteOh yes..the sun can make it so hot! Soon it will be fall for you, right? A couple more weeks! I might have to make that hot chocolate tonight!
DeleteI'm NOT looking forward to more snow! The only positive I've heard is that it should stop early enough on Sunday here so the roads to get to work on Monday shouldn't be too bad.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds about right for you because it's not supposed to end here until late Monday morning. I'm not expecting the boys to go to their school on Monday. Stay warm!
Deletenew flavor of hot chocolate...hmm...i have egg nog coffee tonight

DeleteSeems you pull all night-ers more now than in college!
I'd certainly claim them all as random acts of kindness, too!
It's on the way here too .. ugh. So glad we made it to CA when we did, now it's raining cats and dogs. Stay warm and safe.
ReplyDeleteI saw all that rain for California! Too bad it's coming down so hard and fast!
DeleteToo much white stuff! Ha. -- silver fox
ReplyDeleteDo you have snow on the ground?
DeleteOh, we have plenty of it left!
DeleteRight in our path. :o(
ReplyDeleteLinda
Did you drive today?
DeleteYes...today....Saturday
DeleteLeft at 6am and made it to Lexington Kentucky
Tomorrow is the scary part thru Ohio.....got clean sheets in the guest room?hahaha!
Shame about Martha's mom,eh.....so sudden....
Enjoy your weekend..
Cheers!
Linda :o)
Apparently we are in Knoxville Tennessee!
DeleteLoser!
haha...oh well, you probably wish you were in Lexington! That's closer to home! haha.
DeleteSnow is supposed to start here in a couple of hours!
Yes, so sad about Martha's mom....very sudden. But I'd rather have it sudden that drawn out....we've experienced both here. I've thought about her a lot today.
Be safe...wherever you are! lol....
I like your positive attitude. Hope you get a chance to do everything on your winter wish list this weekend.
ReplyDeleteStay safe and warm.
Well, thanks Mildred! :) I think I'll have time to do a few things...should be fun!
DeleteNo!!! Not more snow! Glad you have a good attitude about it though. :)
ReplyDeleteAre you far enough north that it will miss you? I hope so. You have enough! hahaha....
DeleteI've heard we are set to have the same thing, Betsy. I'm fine, I just have one daughter that works weekends and I just hate knowing any of my children are on the road in bad weather.
ReplyDeleteNever thought of putting the snow in the freezer for the ice cream! :)
XO,
Jane
yeah, it's always more fun when you're all tucked in safe at home!
DeleteI haven't checked on that snow in the freezer yet. I may have to gather some fresh stuff. ha.
Betsy, that picture is gorgeous! I had no idea what it was until I read it. Just saw the weather forecast and here in Kentucky we are in line for another winter storm, too. Btw, what lens do you use on your camera for your bird close ups (if you don't mind me asking). Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWell, the mister didn't know what the photo was either! haha.
DeleteI don't have any special lenses for my camera. It has a 26x wide zoom built in and that's what I use. My camera is on my sidebar...pretty good little camera..I like it a lot. I haven't graduated up to the ones with lenses yet. ha.
I like your photo. You captured the effect of snow falling and blowing just perfect. Seeing the feathered creature from the back side adds a bit of mystery to the scene and makes it more interest.
ReplyDeleteAny time you compliment my photos, Andy, I feel great. You're the expert, as we all know! :)
DeleteWe are not looking forward to the new snow storm tonight and tomorrow into Monday. I thought it was spring time. We still do not have one plant of any kind that is coming up out of the ground.
ReplyDeleteNo, it's not spring just yet, Abe! :) It seems we often get a good storm sometime in March, doesn't it? Be safe!
DeleteWow...more snow. What a winter you are having; I like that you are putting a positive spin on it all.
ReplyDeleteWinter has always been my favorite...and I'm getting a good one this year, that is for sure! And you're over there in Cali with blooming trees! haha. Are you being soaked by rain like most of the state?
DeleteThat is one brilliant photograph, my little doll! Amazing! It's uniqueness makes you take a second look.
ReplyDeleteI won't send condolences about the weather since I know how much you love your snow! I hope it's magical and safe at the same time with your electric staying on. I wouldn't want you to have to brew coffee over a candle flame! (smiling)
I'm curious about the snow flake post. You say it's annual but I haven't had the pleasure yet!
Vince xo
Thanks, Vince :) Magical, safe and with power....sounds like the perfect snow storm. ha. And no...wouldn't want to make coffee over a candle....or dinner for that matter!
DeleteYou'll have to stay tuned for the snowflake post! It's one of my favorites and magical, too!
Brr, poor little bird. It makes me feel cold just looking at it. Good that you do such a great job of feeding them.
ReplyDeleteYeah, they are well cared for and used to the winter, I think. Otherwise, they would go some place warm! Maybe they love winter like I do. ha.
DeleteOur warning starts at 6 tonight thur Monday a.m.. That is me also hoping power stays on. They say our area in for the ice and then 4 to 8" on top of it. Got groceries today. Have did alittle ccoking in case power goes out. Be safe!
ReplyDeletePoor Mr Cardinal - so cold!!
ReplyDeleteWell all I can say Betsy is that you are far more resilient than me!! I am a sunshine boy and hate the snow.
