    1. Bloody hell! I'm first! (smiling)

How was the auction? Did you freeze to death? Any good trash finds? Inquiring minds want to know!

    2. Why so you are first! It's been a while!

Jack always has to snuggle on Taylor's lap after we're done eating. :)

The auction was good...no trash but I did bid/win 2 items. :) Inside but cold with the doors being opened many times during the day for people to move out furniture. It was a good day, though! I always enjoy the auctons!

  2. That is a sweet photo, Did the newlyweds shop in your pantry? My young attorney especially does, all those law school loans make a huge dent even though he earns a lot.

    1. When Taylor was born, we had two cats...so he's always grown up with them. And Nugget is really his. ha. I think he has a little of his mother in him. :)

  8. Awww - so sweet - I want a snuggle too. How was the hot dog feast? I do love a good hot dog! Do Taylor and Lauren have a pet(s). Might Jack go "missing" one day? :-)

    1. Dinner was yummy! Oscar Meyer All Beef Uncured Dogs...really good flavor. Then they are scored and glazed with ketchup/soysauce/garlic before going on the grill. Oh yum. ha. Lauren especially loves hot dogs so I make them for dinner occasionally just for her. :)

No, they don't have pets....yet. I wouldn't be surprised if they do some day.

    2. Ooooo - I have not had that particular brand of Oscar Mayer - sounds good and the glaze sounds amazing. I had some rather unpleasant medical procedures today so I took myself for lunch to Red Lobster and had a seafood feast. You can't go wrong with lobster, scallops, shrimp and warm garlic butter! Especially on a windy, frigid day. But now I am craving a hot dog! Hee hee. I've never had a chili dog. Something I must try some day.

Oh my...you certainly deserved a treat today! And you picked a good one, too! Some of my favorites!

  11. I know what you mean. Alexander and Heather are coming for the weekend and Isobel and I are already excited in anticipation. Not sure about Amy though, she has a jealous streak from her wet nose to her tail.

  15. My Oreo loves it when Josiah comes home. Joe is the cat kid and cats just love him.
He has a cat of his own, but Cat just went to live with Bethany while Joe is at college. I saw a huge weight lifted off his shoulders on Sunday when Beth called to tell him she was at the house to pick up Cat.
Do your other boys pay any attention to the cats? And what happened to Nugget? Is he still there?

    1. Cats just sense when someone is going to be accepting, don't they? Glad Cat gets to stay in the family. ha.
The boys don't care about the pets...never have. Although Nugget just loves the boys. He could nap anywhere in the house..a quiet room...but almost always he can be found back in their room with them. Pretty cute. And the cats still love him, too....it's very common to see one sniff and lick him on the forehead. Really pretty amazing.
