Crab Chowder

I thought I was making clam chowder tonight when
I went my overflow pantry and grabbed a couple cans of
cream of potato soup and a couple cans of clams.

Turns out, they were cans of lump crab meat!
But I thought it probably would still make a good soup
and it really did!  I may even like it better!
I thought I might have thought up a new soup, but there
are several recipes online for crab chowder.

Here's how I made mine...

Saute chopped onion and celery in butter until tender.
(about 1/2 c total in 2 T butter)
Add ~
2 cans cream of potato soup
2 cans of milk
3 small cans of lump crab meat, drain 2
1 can of whole kernel corn, drained
2 t chicken bouillon base
1 t sugar
salt and pepper to taste

yum

  17. I made Catfish Chowder last week. Cut the catfish into bite sized pieces and lightly fried it in some olive oil. Mixed canned clam chowder and canned cream of chicken soup thinned with some milk. When it was heated added a can of mixed vegetables, a bit of cajun seasoning and enjoyed.
