Last night we met Taylor and Lauren and went to
The Trans-Siberian Orchestra. And we felt extra special
since we also got to attend a private pre-concert reception
and see them up close and personal!
In case you haven't heard the famous TSO before, I've
included a video clip of this year's performance.
Video is from youtube. Photos are from me. :)
Oh so fun!
♥
I wish I'd been there!
ReplyDeleteI think you would have loved it! :)
DeleteIt looks like it was a lot of fun. Would be nice to see it. So sweet that the young ones enjoy going out with the parents.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
haha...well, it probably depends on what we're doing. lol....
DeleteWow they are really god
ReplyDeleteMust have been grand to see at your hood
As they rise above the crowd
Like floating on a mechanical cloud
Yep, it sure was fun to go
Deleteeven if my ears were aglow.
haha.
Oh does that look fun and festive. Did you have to travel far to see them?
ReplyDeleteNo, it was local! The hospital foundation of which The Mr. serves as president, was the sponsor of the event...that's how we got to go to the reception and meet them, too. Very fun! I'm officially in the Christmas mood now. ha.
Deletethat would be a lot of fun...have heard them on disc but i imagine seeing them IRL to be pretty energy filled...
ReplyDeleteoh yeah...lots of energy! lol....
DeleteLOVE the Trans Siberian Orchestra! I heard one of their songs as I walked into work this morning; it really set the tone for my day.
ReplyDeleteTheir music has the tendency to do that, doesn't it? It sticks with you...but in a good way. ha.
DeleteI think that sounds like a splendid night! And brilliant photography from you under what I would imagine would be difficult lighting in such a large arena! I'm glad you got the special treatment with the reception! That's even better than a backstage pass! I thoroughly enjoyed the video and even watched a few of the following attached clips. I have a few of their CD's but watching them in action just takes the biscuit!
ReplyDeleteHow happy I am for you to have a splendid night out on the town!
Vincent x
Well, thanks, V. I wasn't sure any of my photos were going to turn out but they did! Yes, we got the royal treatment and it sure was fun to see them up close. They were all very nice and personable, too.
DeleteWOW! What a thrill it must of been! That is a once in a life time event and I so happy that you got to be there. Your pictures are great!
ReplyDeleteWell, actually, we went last year! The Mr's business was the sponsor ...they do it every year...so we feel extra lucky to get to go more than once! And you're right...I needed a night out and away from the busy-ness of my little store and basket business. This was just the ticket! :)
DeleteLovely pictures and I love Tsylor and Lauren pictures are so cute:)
ReplyDeleteThose big kids really are adorable, aren't they? :)
DeleteWhat fun! They will be in Grand Rapids on Sunday and our daughter is going to be there.
ReplyDeleteLucky her! She'll have such a good time! They said they had 8 performances in next 5 days...
DeleteThat must have been really fun. I know a few people who really love TSO.
ReplyDeleteIf you've never gone, you should! You might become a convert. ha.
DeleteThat looks great fun. I'm surprised you didn't get jumped on by security for taking photos. They don't seem to like people taking photos at such events here, even with mobile phones.
ReplyDeleteOh, it's allowed at these...about half the people had their phones out! ha.
DeleteWhat a splendid evening with 2 of your men! And 1 Lauren!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend....
Cheers!
Linda :o)
What a great evening that looks to have been! Live music is so great isn't it. Your photos came out so well, are you sure that you aren't a photographer in real life and just kidding us! xx
ReplyDeleteHow cool! I've always wanted to go to one of their concerts!
